Great Family Place. This is place is a lot of fun to eat at. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. They have a sandbox for the kids and you can relax while they hang out.

However after you get your meal it's hard to get anything else out of the staff. People do not watch their kids and they can sometimes run wild.

But over all, a great family place.

Best Food & Service in San Antonio. We've been eating here since we came to San Antonio almost four years ago. The food is excellent and the service is OUTSTANDING! Tried most of the items on the menu and they all taste great. The best Tortilla soup in San Antonio. The Red Beans and Rice are fabulous.

Great for the kids!. If you don't mind a little sand, then Willie's is a great place for the family to go for some good eats! It gets a little crowded, but that's to be expected of good restuarants.

The BEST Crawfish in SA. After searching for a good place to get 2 lbs of crawfish, I finally found a great place to go during the season. If you like crawfish, you can definitely tell the difference from fresh and frozen. The mudbugs at Willies are so fresh that none of the tails stick to the shell, I believe it's because they order them "live". These critters were probably swimming around the same morning that you have decided to dine on them. The butter sauce that's served with them for dipping is also excellent! I'm still looking for a place that compares but have found none.

Pros- Great beer selection

Cons- A little crowded.

For parents who want to dine out but can't find a sitter, this burger joint has fun for the kids.. The Scene
It might seem hectic to the uninitiated, but Willies gives parents the chance to unwind at a restaurant and not worry that their kids are being noisy--because all of the kids are noisy. Don't be mistaken, this is not a children's theme restaurant decked with flashing lights and actors in plush animal costumes. Video games, an outdoor sand box and a big-screen TV will keep the little ones busy while their parents enjoy a sloppy burger and a beer or margarita.

The Food
The Chili Willie, a chili cheeseburger, is huge, while the Chicken Willie (a grilled chicken sandwich) is tender and smothered in mayonnaise and mustard. Be sure to try the chips and queso for an appetizer. The tortilla chips are light, crispy and not too greasy.

Great Patio. Willie's patio has something for everyone! A sandbox for the kids, great food, beer and margaritas, and a misting system to keep cool! I probably eat at Willie's more than all other restaurants in S.A. combined, I love it!

They've got Chicken!. One of the best places to get a grilled chicken sandwich.. Willie's does a mean one. I have had nothing but the best food there and the ambiance is truly Texan!
