SERVICE WAS HORRID.
Horrible Experience overall. First the hostesses continued to bicker in front of the customers and one walked away in tears. The hostesses didn't keep track of who called ahead and who didn't so they just moved people around and we waited over 15 minutes longer than out 45 minute wait time we were told.
We went into the bar area to sit and have a drink and the bartenders stood in the back of the bar visiting. I waited 5 minutes while they chatted before they even c ame over to ask if there was anything I wanted. The drinks supposed to be like slushes and instead they had chunks of ice in them. It was like their bar only had part of the supplies they were suppsed to. It took me 10 minutes to get 2 drinks because they only had one blender the 3 bartenders had to share.
The food was decewnt but definitely NOT WORTH the hour wait. Our server was very nice but she walked away before we finished ordering and got my husband's order wrong. When she came back and he tried to correct her she seemed a little peeved to be corrected.
Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
best steak and seafood and at a great price. we have been to many steak and seafood restaurants and enjoyed most but our favorite place to enjoy the evening of dinner and drinks is by far the outback steakhouse, my favorite is the steaks which are prepared full of flavor and spiced to perfection in my opinion and the mrs. enjoys the fettuccini pasta with either chicken, shrimp or both and for drink i recomend the walla be darned the best peach frozen drink ever that will not melt like a margerita but will stay frozen till the end all this at a great price, we avoid waiting by going to the bar and wait for a table to open usually under 10 minutes.
terrible steak!. The last few times I have been to outback I have sent at least one entree back. The steak was tough, salty, and overcooked. I have returned the chicken once for being undercooked and once for being dry. I won't be back, ever. Worst steaks for a steakhouse.
nothing. I have eaten in 4 of these restrautants in the past two years, 2 time at the Forum, once in San Marcos and once off of 281. All 4 times the meat was tough, potatoes were cold and the smoke was bad...must be thier trademark
Aussssomey. I love everything Australian - the Outback takes me there. Even the wording on the menu. the steaks a just the way you ask for them. The shrimp is scrumptuous. The brown bread a delight. If you can hold dessert, share it, or you'll roll out of there.
my birthday. We had the very best steak you could ever eat at the OUTBACK.
The place for Steaks & Ribs!. The one word that comes to mind when I think of Outback is consistency. They do it right everytime. I have never had a bad experience at Outback. The food is always excellent, and the service is very good.
