Sea Island Shrimp House. Great food, prompt service and friendly staff. Prices are just right. I love their Jumbo Friend Shrimp! I go once a week to eat @ Sea Island at 5959 NW Loop 410 in San Antonio. I enjoy meeting my friends at this restaurant.

Family-run local chain offers a variety of seafood in a low-key nautical setting.. In Short
Ship wheels separate two main dining areas. The full menu, offering combinations, also caters to children and seniors with fairly generous portions. Appetizers include lightly breaded fried calamari rings (with marinara sauce) and ceviche--shrimp marinated in lime juice, tomatoes and herbs. Two popular dishes feature the house fish, Icelandic pollock: fried fillets or lemon peppered, with cole slaw, fries and two hush puppies. The char-broiled shrimp is kabob style. Steaks are available.

Great Sea Food. I am a Native San Antonian, and I recomend it for special Dinners, but make sure to call for reservations because seating room is minimal. Worth the wait with North Star Mall across the street to walk off your meal and find anything you want for the whole family.

Sea Island or Crusty Crab?. I felt like I was eating at the Crusty Crab on Spongebob. You get your own food, which isn't much considering how much you pay for it. You get your own drinks and refills. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience. For the kind of money we paid, we could have gone to Red Lobster.

unwaveringly scrumptious & delectable. Unlike other restaurants, Sea Island Restaurants maintain the same exceptional standards at all their locations ( well at least at the 3 different locations I frequent). And by standards I mean in food quality & presentation, customer service, promptness in delivery of the food, friendly atmosphere, etc. If you order a shrimp salad on Rector its going to taste just as delicious as a shrimp salad on I10 and I LOVE that I CAN COUNT ON THAT. That the taste, or entree DOESN'T vary from location to location. Sure they seem to be packed all the time but what does that tell you, that everyone else knows what you know- that the food is GREAT-AND WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!

Quite frankly I'm way disappointed that when I went to check out seafood rest. Sea Island wasn't on your list!
