RUINING the GOOD name of the real MILANOS on Wurzbach!. The food was worst than microwave dinner. It was cold, no taste and discusting..I had to return it twice before I said NEVERMIND,,,They gave me trouble about returning my money. I go to the real Milanos on Wurzbach all the time, and I now know that they are two different owners, that you GOD! They suck on Bandera, I willl never return there again! But if you want great italian food, go to Milanos on Wurzbach at Locke Hill Selma!
always a great choice.. The food, service, and decor is the prefect setting for lunch or dinner.
Very layed back atmosphere. Very good food!. Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. I'm a regular there. Oh, and the wait staff are friendly. They all know me pretty well over there.
avoid at all cost. The service was horrible. We had a waiter who had an awful attitude, he was rude, wouldn't let us enjoy our meal without making comments about people from our area of town. At the end of the meal he came to apologize with cake saying this was a token to thank us for being good sports. It wasn't a cake but rather coffee grounds formed to look like a cake with whiped cream on it. We took a bite as our waiter and the cook laughed. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told by the manager this waiter was just playing and he does this all the time. Hopefully you will avoid Cafe Milano and they will go out of business soon.
A chance for Northside diners to do Italian without doing the dishes afterward..
A Little Bit
The décor is faux Italian, complete with vines and wine bottles set against somewhat half-hearted frescoes. The food is better, mixing the basic elements and ingredients of Italian cooking into a menu that offers options for every taste. Chicken and seafood, but occasionally something like sausage cacciatore sneaks in for an unexpected twist on traditional fare. Calamari is served sautéed or fried in a slightly spicy sauce filled with chunks of stewed tomatoes. Seafood linguini, with mussels, calamari, shrimp, fish and clams with marinara sauce, gives the indecisive diner a chance to try everything for a reasonable price.
Of Everything
The Italian wedding soup, a combination of meatballs, spinach, egg and Parmesan in a chicken broth, will have you hearing violins. Patio dining is available, and a number of rich desserts are always close by if, by some miracle, you still have room.
Good Food. Cafe Milano's is a nice choice if you are looking for good italian food, reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere. Take advantage of the outdoor seating on the sunny days or dine inside by candlelight on the rainy days. Either way it's a good pick.
