Eh -- horrible place.
"Eh" sums up our visit.
We had severe service issues, a waiter who was being Mr Speedy and jamming us up with courses. Not paying attention when being asked to bring items, like an extra paper napkin. Frustrated, we asked other staff for assistance. The guy pours ice tea in a diet Coke glass...and didn't even ask. We'd already spoken to the manager who was going to correct the problem, but then the guy takes the dessert place we still had a couple bites left on. That was the last straw.
Of course, we "complained", and then the bill shows up on the table -- full price. What could we do but pay at this point? Oh, they did take $7 off a $35 bill when they ran the credit card, but, come on.
Needless to say, we saved the tip, and not even another word of apology from the manager.
Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment..
In Short
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.
I don't know what Jen sees in this place.
We have this friend . . . Jen in San Diego who rants and raves about this seafood chain.
Well I have recently gone with my wife to the local location. Well . . . this place isn't all that our friend makes it out to be.
The lighting is bright, and the setting is rather . . . hokey.
The seafood was better then most places . . . but the ambiance so killed it.
Bahama Mama!. This restaurant was very busy when we were there, but the service was excellent the moment we walked through the door! We will definately dine here again when we're in town!
