ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE. We picked this restaurant after researching the reviews on-line and we are very happy we did. The place is elegant and clean. The service is excellent. I had the Chicken with black bean sauce and my husband had the General Tao’s Chicken with Egg Roll and Won Ton soup. They are all delicious. They use the finest and fresh ingredients such as all white meat chicken. They came out nice and hot and flavorful. The price is very reasonable. I am a Chinese from Houston. This restaurant definitely meet my high standard. It is pretty packed on a Thursday night which says a lot. I highly recommend it.…
So delicious!. I've been going to Royal for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. Recently, now that I have my own vehicle, I try and come to Royal Inn at least once weekly in order to get their lunch specials. :] I usually order the lemon chicken, and it's always fresh and the chicken-crust is crunchy and it's GREAT!! They also have the best eggrolls ever created. Their fried rice is amazing too. I love the service, and also talking with Rex (the man who works there), he is so funny and friendly. I look forward to going again!!!…
My Favorite. One of my favorite cuisines and very reasonable. Never had a bad meal and always pleasant service. I like it when the owner takes the time to talk with his customers, which Rex does often.
Great Food, Management and Staff. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Texas. This is one of our places to stop on Sunday after church. I've always received good service and food and if I ever have an issue they are quick to remedy. Every guest I have taken has been very satisfied. In fact, after writing this I think I will pay them a visit tonight!…
authentic. I am a native of Taiwan. I have been living in San Antonio for 13 years. Authentic chinese food is hard to find in SA. Royal Inn surprised me with their food, but you must order off the menu (in Chinese! Just kidding, the owner is fluent in English). He likes to be called "Ah-Shu" or "uncle" in chinese. He will fix you up a feast if you give him a couple of day to buy the supplies. Make a reservation and tell them you want to speak with "ah-shu" (uncle) and that you don't want the Americanized Chinese food. You want the authentic chinese food. The steamed fish was awesome. The special beef was great. The squid was out of this world. The curry chicken was delicious. The pea shoots/greens stirfry was earthy and tasty. ..you won't be disappointed. If you are a Sweet and Sour, fried rice - kinda eater..., then don't bother.....go to your nearest Panda Express, you will be happier. (BTW, bring at least 6-7 friends because it is a 8-10 course feast usually). Bon Appetite to the Foodies.....…
