The Scene
Gurgling water elements inside and out counter the din of the high-traffic location. The large facility draws mostly professional women from the medical center and USAA who come to de-stress on their lunch hours. The decor--a mix of Eastern, African and Native American influences--reflects owner Ann Jacobs' interest in feng shui and world travel. Thick hedges outside the double window allow sunlight and privacy in treatment rooms that are awash with cheery colors. Plush robes, cool rubber spa sandals and a women's locker room create a girlfriend feel.
The Services
Besides the standard spa fare of facials, massage and body wraps, Whispering Waters offers unique services like the "spa a trois": Two therapists tend to you with dry-brushing, scalp massage, reflexology and body kneading. Sophisticated, electronically adjustable massage tables ensure customized, comfortable positioning for massages.

The new facility is located at 13111 Huebner rd. San Antonio Tx. So pay attention because they are not at the old Wurzbach location at all!! You will want to know this so that you don't miss out on any of your appointment time. Also you may want to come early to unwind in the waterfall hot tub or get into the personal steam showers. This place is top notch and I plan on getting my mom a gift card for mother's day! I hope your mother is as lucky as mine. Do treat yourself!

My first experience with the spa was at it's prior location on Wurzbach. The very first thing that caught my attention (being an artist myself) were the fabulous pieces of art displayed all around. The reception was warm and attentive and I did not get that "looked-up & down" glare that sooo many other salons "greet" you with. My services at that local were pedicures and massages both very nice. The new location at Huebner & Lockhill Selma is FANTASTIC! Beautiful, peaceful, wonderful energy and the most thorough facial & Pedicure I have EVER received. Ann & Terri are not only incredible in their professions the're two really lovely people. I look forward to my next visit.

I liked Whispering Waters. The one thing I didn't like is that the people really try and sell you what they used on you and pretend like you need it. I had a manicure done, which was really nice and relaxing. The lady told me I would probably need to continue cleaning out my cuticles, getting hand moisturizer (THAT I NEEDED?) and a random shirt. All of it would've cost me like 80 bucks. Besides that it smells wonderful when you enter the place and most of the people are really friendly.

Travel Bonus:
The owner's trip to Aruba inspired one treatment: an aromatic scrub with warm oil and freshly ground coffee beans before a steam, invigorating Vichy shower and tea tree oil massage.
More Exoticism:
Try East Indian pampering with the "Shiro Dhara" treatment of warm sesame oil pooled on your forehead and facial acupressure while wrapped in warm body linens.
Made for Two:
The "Couples Delight" pampers two with side by side herbal baths and full-body massages plus chocolates and fruits for nibbling.
