To Sandeep n.
first of all you did not speak to the owner, you spoke to my manager, I am sorry about the confusion of the appt. it was clearly our mistake, and we apologize.
-Whispering Waters Day Spa
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER--STAY
AWAY!!
I had read the scary reviews about the customer service, especially the behavior of the owner, but out of necessity (all other resort spas being booked for my wife's birthday weekend), I still decided to give this place a try--WHAT A MISTAKE! they screwed up the appointment time for my wife, called me and tried to make me feel like it was my mistake (as if I would forget when I made the appt time/day for my wife), never apologized, and essentially tried to pigeon hole me into an appointment time that I couldn't take (with a "take it or leave it" attitude). When I told them they had the worst service I ever experienced, the owner had the audacity to call me back and THREATEN me with never being allowed in their spa. I laughed! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE and pass it on! Places like this need to go out of business
The spa itself is beautiful. The
management on the other hand is not. We received a facial and standard pedicure and was charged $170.00. The facial was basic. No neck, shoulders, arms massage; no peel; lasted about 35 minutes, yet $85. Basic pedicure was $75. When checking out, when I was told my total was $170, I asked "how much was the pedicure?" I was shocked at the total. She seemed put out that I would ask. Later I sent the manager Ann an email explaining my disappointment in the cost, based on the service. Here is her email response to me:
Seriously, you come to a 5 star rated day spa, enjoy the robes and all the ameneties, receive fabulous services and all you can do is complain about the price? Facial massages are contraindicated after extractions, so we do a nice hand and arm massage to take its place. All of our clients rave about our facials. But no, not you. You embarrased your friend last night at check out with your rude behavior, my staff was appaled as was I. One does not build a word class day spa and charge strip mall prices, You however should go there, hope you dont get a fungal invection. Please do not come back to our spa, you are not welcome. Shame on you you cheap bully
Is this the treatment you would expect from an alleged "5 star" establishment?
Upon first arriving the spa looked really nice and the staff there was friendly. My sister and I went there for a waxing. I then proceeded to request a change in the service I wanted, and the staff seemed willing to accommodate my changes, that is, until the owner, Ann, walked in and very rudely told me that they could not change it, because they were busy. However aside from my sister and myself, there was no one else in the waiting room. Nonetheless, I respected her decision and both our experiences were great. However as I finished paying I noticed that I had been overcharged. So I respectfully asked for a refund, but when I went back to ask the owner was there and she was once again very rude, she rolled her eyes at me and began to argue that the service I was charged for was what was on their computer. She also yelled at an employee who was trying to help her with the refund. I felt really bad and uncomfortable with her attitude towards the both of us. Aside from the owner, I enjoyed everything else; however I would not feel very comfortable/ confident in returning because of her.
My first visit and I was floored bu how great it was! I've been going to Folawn's for years but couldn't get a massage appt the same day so tried Whispering Waters. Receptionist was helpful and gave me tour of place. I was impressed by all the amenities, such as the steam/shower, sauna, hot tub, and the Quiet Haven room with wonderful chaises and sofas, compliementary nuts, raisins, dried bananas, juice, water, books, and a bubbling fountain. The room also had a fireplace! There was a small balcony with chairs, too. Come early, relax, get pampered, steamed and hot tubbed then get your massage, mani-pedi or whatever. O M G, I am going back ASAP. I need regular massages for medical problems and Terry did a very good one. The spa color theme and soft music were very nice. Everything was done to make you feel special and relaxed...and it worked! Prices are reasonable compared to similar places. Go, you'll love it. (I have no connection to the place.)
LOVE IT!. Where do I start…When I arrived the girl at the front desk took me on a tour around the spa. She was very friendly, and offered me water and snacks while I waited in a room that was gorgeous! My massage (can’t remember his name) was amazing, along with all of my other treatments. Ann and her partner are two amazing people, and you can tell they know and enjoy their career. This environment is beautiful, and nicely decorated with personal style. I am a very very busy person, and I never get any time for myself, these people made my stress melt away! I want to thank all of them again, and I can’t wait to come back! ?
Not ONCE was I even offered water.... I liked the whole idea of the spa. It was a very relaxing environment and the staff was friendly. However, my esthetician (who I think was the owner?) was a little pushy on trying to get me to upgrade my facial & I didn't appreciate that. Also, I felt like the esthetician was gone out of the room over 50% of the time. She kept going in & out. I think the worst part of the experience is not even being offered water once. Just because of that I'll never go back...
Whispering Waters - Wow, Just Wow!. Whispering Waters is an absolute gem! The entire place is so beautiful and peaceful and very well laid out. My friend and I went in for massages and pedicures. We were greeted by Ann, the owner and Daisy, the dog. She gave us a tour of the entire place and offered us water - cucumber and regular. The locker room had big fluffy robes and slippers waiting for us. The pedicure room has really great chairs and there is a balcony off of the room that my friend and I sat out on while our toes dried. The massage (given by Lionel) was absolutely the best massage I've ever had. I can't say enough about Lionel. He was amazing. The table was dressed with the softest sheets and down. So comfy and relaxing. The room had a fireplace which made it even more cozier. There are chairs and chaise lounges throughout the spa where you can sit and relax. While waiting for our cab we talked with the owner Ann. What a nice person who really put a lot of thought into her business. If you find yourself in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and book an appointment at this spa.
Whispering Waters Day Spa. This spa is fabulous! I was relaxed from the minute I walked in. I was early and I waited in the most relaxing room, I should have gotten there even earlier to take advantage of that moment. Ann, the owner gave me my facial, and it was wonderful. I could actually see my face brighter and healthier afterwards. I want to go back and have a package for my anniversary!
Whispering Waters Day Spa.
I love this place! It is beautiful and the pampering ohlala!...My friends know I'm the spa diva, so when they ask me where I go, I always say If you want to feel like a princess (or a prince) for a day the place to go is Whispering Waters Day Spa.
My first experience was 10 years ago- for my 40th birthday (when it was @ the Wurzbach location)...today I went back to celebrate my 50th birthday (at the Huebner location). That should tell you something right there!
If you like TLC, you will like Ann and her staff.
