Nice and Honest People. Very nice and honest people. You know they can find and fix the problem for you when you take your vehicle there. For people who are price/cost sensitive like myself, you know that you can get a right quote from them. They also make an effort to search parts on the market with a right price for you. After getting a quote, you may get a second opinion from its competitors. However, you will come back to Two Fat Guys to fix the problem. They are always busy when you go to the shop because they have very good business. However, they can order the parts for you after diagnoses. They will call you and make an appointment when the parts come in. They can then start on your job immediately when you get there. I am happy for the jobs they did for me.
I like this shop. I have taken a few of my cars there for several different reasons. The first time I used them was for a front end alignment, it could not be done on my car due to worn parts. They did not charge me a penny for the work and analysis that they did do. After I fixed the parts that were worn they did the alignment and the price was VERY reasonable. I took my sons car and found out that it has a broken timing belt. He cannot afford the expense of having a shop fix it so he is going to attempt to do it himself. I explained this to them and they were very understanding and put the car back together and again did not charge me. Of course they are in business to make money so they do a complete inspection of your vehicle while they have it and will tell you if they notice anything else needs to be fixed or replaced. For many people out there that are not mechanically inclined that may seem like they are trying to rip you off. I can assure you that when I got that report on the 2 cars I put in there that it was 100% correct and I have tinkered with cars for the past 25 years. Health reasons have stopped me from doing a lot of wrenching but I am glad I found this place. Honesty and good ethics are a hard to find commodity nowadays and in my experience with my few repairs done at 2 fat guys (on Babcock) it is found here.
Great service you can count on. I have been going to 2 Fat Guys on Babcock Road for some time now. The guys there always take great care of my car. There prices are always reasonable. I use to work on my own car, but I don't have the time. I like that they always take me out to my car and show me what needs to be repaired and explain why. You can see and understand what is going on. I also like that they look over my entire car and give me a form that tells me what needs to be done to my car later, how much it will cost me, and how important the repairs are to me (high, med, low). This help me to know how much it is going to cost me and I can save up ahead of time. I just wanted to say thanks to these guys for the great service they give me. I highly recommend 2 Fat Guys if you need your car repaired. They have always treated me right!
Watch Your Back. I went in to get a gasket for my oil pan replace and they called me about an hour later telling me I had to replace a rotor on one of my wheels and there was a big grease leak from a tear in the rubber. I immediately went in and asked them to show me the problem. They were very surprised and tried to tell me the road grime was a bad leak. I asked about the tear on the rubber seal and they showed me more grime on the seal and said it was about to go bad. I asked about the tear they were telling me about and they had no answers. I told them to get my car out of there and went on my way. Very bad business ethics. While waiting for my car I must have heard them tell 3 other people (2 on the phone and 1 in person) they needed their rotors replaced. This place is so bad, I wouldn't take my bicycle there to get air in the tires.
Never bring your vehicle to these people.
These folks just don't care, I had to return with my car twice to have them fix the problems they caused while "repairing" it, now I have to take it back to the dealer to get it repaired.
