They are dishonest!
They don't mark price on most of products in store. You have to ask the salesman for the price.
Most wood floor in the show room are close out. It's sounds cheaper comparing with regular price at home deport. but It's really not! When they add other things like molding etc, the final price is much higher than same quality of product at home depot.
I won't do any business with them again!
They were good for us!. They were about the same cleanliness as other home improvement stores. We use them whenever we need tile or wood. Way less expensive!
Tile Depot. you tell 'em Yunchi! The guys were great, the prices unbeatable and the material top notch! They let me shop without hovering over me, Lang and the guys answered my questions, beat any price offered elsewhere (by a long shot, I might add) and even took back the material that I bought when my contractor overestimated the amount I would need. No re-stocking fee, no hassle, nada...I would DEFINITELY recommend them to people as your first stop. Then go look around. I'd be surprised if Tile Depot won't be your last stop as well.
Reply Mgmt..
We are currently remolding the store and the restrooms are not open for the public use right now. We do not know how this person can use our restrooms when we have been remodeling for the last three weeks.
"I walk in and the place looks like a dump, not organized at all. I was never greeted,"
I dont understand why you would like to use our restroom if you think the place looks like a dump.
Sounds like a competitor not customer because we get nothing but good remarks about our company. Great price and good quality material.
Shady Operation.
Wow..... Where do I start? I'm shopping for flooring in San Antonio, someone told me to look into Tile Depot.
I walk in and the place looks like a dump, not organized at all. I was never greeted, just some guy behind the counter looked up at me and kind of waived.
I tried asking him a few questions about a hardwood I was looking for and all he told me was that he could beat anyones price in town.
To make matters worse I had to use the restroom, went in, and it was nastier than any bathroom Ive ever seen in my life.
I over heard one of the workers talking horribly about a customer and how they "jacked her up" what ever that means.....
I turned around and walked out..... I can't believe I wasted 5 minutes of my life there.
STAY AWAY!
Best tile price in town.
I have several rentals in town. I have tried to shop around town to get the best price, and still return to Tile Depot. I used Tile Depot for over 2000 Sq Foot of wood in my own home. Go shop the rest and go to Tile depot and get what you need for the best price.
I see that some people are upset about the installation. I have used the installers at Tile Depot and I assure you that they do a good job. The owner backs each install and will ensure that any problems are taken care of.
Customer Service and Installation very poor, Product great!.
I agree 100% with the guy that complained about their installation. We love our floors. It's a great product at a wonderful price, but their customer service and installation is TERRIBLE.
Whenever we called to address something that was wrong with the floor, the t-molding came up, there are gaps in the flooring, they would always say "We'll call you back tomorrow." We would never get a return call, even after SEVERAL calls. Then, when finally pinned down, they seemed to want every piece of info possible....what was the guy's name that did your floor? What was he wearing? Do you have your ticket number? They would repeat this each time we called. It was flat-out obnoxious, and seemed like they were simply looking for ways to get out of their "year contract" on the installation.
Once we FINALLY managed to get them out to actually fix the floor, the guy didn't measure the t-molding correctly, leaving large gaps. We're so sick of dealing with them that we probably will just somehow manage to live with it, fill it with wood putty or something.
Do NOT use them for installation. End of story.
Great place for Flooring. We recently bought a house and wanted to put in wood floors. We looked EVERYWHERE in town and found that everything we liked was terribly expensive. Then we found Tile Depot. The flooring selection we saw there was incredible and the prices were even better! We selected beautiful dark engineered hardwood floors and paid half what other places are selling it for. They began installation right away and were done within a week. We even had them do the staircase and their workmanship is impecable. It truly looks amazing!! The owner, Lang, may be a bit quirky, but you will not find a more honest, true to his word guy. He definitely wants his customers to be happy and will make sure the job is done right every time! I could not be happier with the service, product, price and work that they did. We will drfinitley use Tile Depot for all of our future remodelling needs.
Don't Let Them Install.
I purchased wood flooring from Tile Depot. I was very pleased with the price. I installed wood floors myself and they turned out great!
I figured I'd go to the well again for carpet. The owner is also opening up a store called Flooring Direct...same workers. I was convinced because the carpet WAS better quality, plusher than Home Depot's for about the same price. Well, the carpet is great but the service and installation was POOR!!! I cannot stress that enough.
Firstly, the guy that was supposed to install it arrived 4 hours late. I kept calling the foreman who had NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills whatsoever...some dude named Mando. I wonder if the owner knows how bad this guy is...I'm sure he's turned off a bunch of other customers as well (very abrasive). Anyway, the contractor wound up working late into the night to get the job done. The next day when we looked at it in the daylight, we could tell how poor the installation was.
I called Flooring Direct and they sent (yes...guess who) the foreman. Well, of course, I had run out of patience and gave him a word or two. It took two more visits because they fixed the installation but needed more carpet for the stairs.
Bottom line, I kept having to baby sit the whole installation by calling the store sales guy and the foreman even after they knew how much they messed up. I was extremely displeased with the installation services. They had no concept of PROFESSIONALISM.
Before I went with FlooringDirect, I was told by a colleague who had a friend that had gone with them for an installation, and they said the job was poor. Nevertheless, I figured I give Tile Depot / Flooring Direct a shot anyway...
I regretted it.
