It is possible to ruin chinese food.
The egg roll was gross and so was the food I ordered was just not very good. The fried rice was good, but there wasn't much of it. The portion was smaller than any other place I've been to (even when it came to the cheap stuff, like the rice). Overall, if you are broke, try it, if you have an extra buck or two, take it elsewhere.

Small Portions, Good Food.
This place seems like a typical "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant. The service was good and fast. The price is decent, but the portions (at least the lunch portions) are probably smaller than what you'd expect to go most place

Great Food, Fast & Friendly Service.
I live close to Happy Guy and often enjoy eating there on a fairly regular basis. The food is always hot and delicious and the service is fast and friendly. The prices are exceptional for what you get as well. I have never hesitated to take friends and family there and they've all talked about how great the meal was. It's a small place with a cozy feel where your waitstaff can give you plenty of attention without making you feel like they're hovering over you. Even though there is a large bingo hall next door, I've never had trouble finding a parking place when I've gone to eat there on bingo nights. They reserve several spaces in front of their restaurant for customers and the bingo folks are respectful enough to leave those spaces for Happy Guy customers.
Happy Guy is definitely one of those "hidden gems" in the area that the locals love. If you're ever in the area, stop in for a great meal. You won't be disappointed.

Favorite Chinese.
Fast friendly service, huge portions with a nice low price! This place has our buisness
My favorite so far is the "House Special Noodle Soup" which is a meal in its self or the "Happy Family Peking Style".
When your done you can always go play BINGO nextdoor.

Love this chinese place.
I have lived in a few different states. I have never gotten chinese food that tastes this good, at least to me. Their hot and sour soup is the best I've had here in San Antonio. And I love that the food is always hot and fresh. The service is friendly, and yes it is located next to a bingo parlor, but if you play bingo there and you place an order to take to go, they will rush to get your order done so you can make bingo :) I know from experience. I just really happen to like this chinese restuarant.

A Very Good Chinese Restaurant (for a change).
San Antonio is saturated with a plethora of God-awful, and mediocre Chinese restaurants with poor quality food. Thankfully, Happy Guy is NOT one of them. The place is not palatial, but then again, it?s not a dive. It?s kind of ?cozy? and can be very relaxing at an off hour. The service is very good, and the food is well worth finding a parking place for. You can actually get some real Chinese dishes there?and their take-out orders have always been correct and on time. Recommended.
P.S. Try the Mushi Pork With Plum Sauce. It's one of the best I've had.

VERY GOOD CHINESE FOOD (m).
Okay so the place does reside in a strip mall and the decoration and ambience is not great.
But the food is VERY GOOD and worth trying.
Very large portions and service is very good too.
I would recommend Happy Guy to my friends and family.
