The Course
You don't get to host the Texas Open four years running unless you have a pretty nice course. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, it was voted Best New Public Course in 1995 by Golf Digest and one of the top 100 courses in America by Golf Magazine.
This public course features all the usual Hill Country physical amenities, including great scenic views, natural waterfalls, creeks and plenty of hills. The fairways offer panoramic views of San Antonio. The seventh hole, also known as "The Rattler Hole," looks over Fiesta Texas.
Extras
The club also has a golf school featuring the latest in teaching tools with top notch teaching professionals.
An additional 18-hole course, designed by Arnold Palmer, is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2001.

If you have the choice, play the Palmer Course instead. The Resort Course is nice, but not manicured like I expected. There a lot of elevation changes and the course offers plenty of challenge, but there are better courses for less money.
