Editorial Review for Bella Salon – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This renovated office space has contemporary flair. An antique chandelier melds well with bright colors, modern paintings, pillowy sofas and lounges. Spa treatments are very Austin-like in flavor--avocado glows, ginger wraps and tangerine salt glows. Build-your-own spa packages can include a French manicure, pedicure, deep-pore facial or makeup and hair--making this a popular wedding prep destination. Those needing to refuel after the pampering can stop into the on-site cafe for espresso, wine, salads and sandwiches.

I highly recommend Griffin to anyone looking for a hairdresser. He is cool and edgy, yet fun and knowledgeable. He takes the time to get to know you and your style so he can translate that into your cut and color. My color turned out perfectly and my cut is now respectable and yet still cool. Can't say enough about him.
Pros: Staff, Atmosphere, Cafe

After my usual stylist moved out of state, I put off getting a haircut unitl I was absolutely desperate. Also, I was only two months away from my wedding and wanted to make sure whoever cut my hair didn't butcher it. I called Bella after reading some good reviews. The receptionist listened to my needs and asked some follow up questions. She reccomended Britnae as a stylist who is both in my budget and good with long hair. Britnae listened to my needs very carefully and gave me a great cut. I later went back for a trial updo before the wedding. This turned out exactly as I requested, but I didn't like it as much as I had hoped. For my wedding day Britnae and I figured out how to tweak the trial updo, and I was perfectly pleased with the result. By the way, it stayed up all day with just a moderate amount of hairspray. Also, I booked hair appointments for all the women in the wedding party, six total. The salon was very organized and efficent. Everyone ended up looking great, and we were able to keep to our schedule. I was also able to prearrange brunch at the cafe. This was a lifesaver because I had a 2 p.m. wedding and there wasn't time for lunch. The food was delicious and we could take some with us to snack on while getting ready. Oh, and the salon and cafe are beautiful, which made hanging out there even more fun. Bella was the perfect wedding day choice for me. Now I'm planning to go back for the excellent haircuts by Britnae.
Pros: stylists and managers who listen to your needs
Cons: can be a little hard to find on your first visit
