The Scene
The resort lies on 19 stunning acres along the shores of Lake Austin. Renowned chef Terry Conlan prepares healthy meals and all 40 guest rooms come with signature spa products and wireless Internet connections. LakeHouse Spa, one of the top five in the country, is an oasis with views of rolling hills, sumptuous amenities and staff that caters to every whim.
The Services
Spa days are ripe with state-of-the-art relaxation, beauty and fitness options. Seek rejuvenation with any one of 100 treatments--herbs are grown in the Healing Garden--in one of 30 areas, including outdoor garden cabanas, screened verandas and private tandem suites. Services not found anywhere else in Austin, such as Moor therapy, which involves using a mixture of 800 botanicals and is known for its power to soothe sore joints, can be found here. There's also an indoor junior Olympic-size pool and outdoor Palm pool.

Take advantage of the accommodations such as the sauna, whirlpool, steam room, indoor lap pool, and outdoor swimming pool. All of these are yours to use for the entire day when you go to the Spa. The setting is gorgeous, the people are wonderful, there are pathways and trails down to the lake with flower gardens all around. It is obvious that this place spends a lot of time on the little details. This is a perfect place to go with a best friend or a lover on your day off. You can lay on the outside patio while getting a pumpkin wrap (or many of the other treatments) with your significant other (like I did ;) ). I HIGHLY recommend Lake Austin Spa Resort.
Pros: wonderful service, caring staff, wonderful atmosphere

THE SERVICES WERE OK BUT OVERLY PRICED. THE SETTING WAS PRETTY BUT NOT REALLY WORTH DRIVING SOOO FAR OUT OF THE WAY. FOR A SPA BEING RATED TOP TEN IN THE NATION, IT WAS OK, BUT I HAVE HAD MUCH BETTER IN AUSTIN. SEEMED A LITTLE SNOOTY
