People with Special Needs avoid this Theater!!!!!. We are from out of town and were enjoying a wonderful vacation in San Antonio. We decided to take my special needs daughter to the theater to see Alice in Wonderland. She is 12 years old , is severely developmentally delayed, in a wheelchair and is unable to talk. We had been watching the movie when we kept hearing someone making hushing sounds. My daughter was making little squeaking sounds because she was so excited to be at the movies. We noticed people walking up and down the stairs but didn't know that there was a problem. Then a lady yelled ,"Could you please leave?". At that time, we realized these people were talking to us! I started to get my things together and started walking out of the theater when we were met by 3 employees and, get this, AN ARMED SAN ANTONIO POLICE OFFICER!!!!!!!! I asked them if they were there to kick us out. They said that they had a complaint and were there to investigate. I asked why a police officer was there. They couldn't answer. I asked if they were going to arrest my daughter for making her little sounds. They said that they were responding to the complaint! I told them that it is unfortunate that they were happy to see us leave just to please an ignorant person! I asked the officer why he was there and he said he was there just in case! Just in case of what?? In case we refused, we would then be forced by an armed police officer??? I complained to the management and they were non sympathic. I told them that we go the movies almost every weekend and had never had this problem. I believe both the complaining patron and the theather are ignorant of people with special needs and rather than address it, they were happy to have us leave!!! I will never visit this theater again!!!

Thanks AMC. My friend & I went to a movie this morning & half way throught the movie I got paged to go to work; I explained this to the manager & without hesitation he gave us both movie passes. I was very impressed by his quick decision & readiness to help. This has become one of my favorite theaters.

Thanks AMC

Poor Customer Service. We went to this theater after not having been there for a while. When I went to buy my tickets the salesperson at the counter was very impatient. He tried to charge me an adult price for my 12 year old. The sign clearly said, Child 2-12. When I mentioned this to him he became very upset and claimed that it meant "up to 12". After I said, "No, your sign specifically says through 12", he responded with "Fine! I'll give you the child's price. At this point I don't care! I'll just give you what you want!!" He made a face as he said this to me. It wasn't the money it was a matter of principal and honoring what their sign read. I reported it to the manager who apologized but did not seem to be too bothered by it. Maybe this theater does not want to deal with children at all. I will not choose this theater as my first choice again. There are 24 other theateres in the San Antonio area to choose from.

Great theater! Silence is Golden.. I love this theater! Nice high chairs that are SO high you almost cant see the people sitting in front of you and yet your view of the screen still remains unobstructed. Also, their "No Noise" policy is top notch. To often the movie going experience is ruined by people bringing in umteen month olds or 1-3 year olds who, while in the minds of the parents who bring them are "well behaved" (more that the parents have become numb to the screaming, giggling, crying, squealing)...the children are irritating to most of the rest of the moviegoers. Even when you wait to see if the parents will take care of the issue they sit there "shhh"ing and cooing the kids while you try to watch the movie. Not at this theater! The policy they have for adults who make a ruckus goes ditto for parents and their loud children. It's well worth the extra bucks to be able to enjoy the movie in peace.

Great theater!. Great theater!

The management must be very encouraging because the employees are helpful, kind and personable. From the ticket office to the snack bar, it is easy sit back and enjoy a good movie. Thank you AMC Huebner, you are the BEST!

Not for kids. My husband and I went to this movie with our 2 younger children this evening. Trust me, I am not a complainer, but my children are very well behaved. (They are 22 months and 8 months, and they are so quiet that you would never know that they exist)! My 8 month old began to "giggle" during the movie, the movie theater employee happened to walk-in and stand to view the crowd to make sure everyone was "well behaved" I guess. After his "giggle" they proceeded to kick us out of the theater. I was speechless!!! I had never been asked such a thing, no one around us had even so much had given us a bad look or any complaint. There we were already 1/2 way through a movie, and were getting "kicked" out! I had never even heard of such a thing! Luckily after arguing through 2 employees, then a manager, they finally refunded us. They were not going to at first because we apparently broke there "silence is golden" rule. Who knew a movie theater could have rules?

Needless to say, we were amazed, and now will never go back to that theater!

Great seats. VERY clean. Odd movie selections.. We love this theater for it's big seats and how clean every theater and bathroom is. Parking is pretty easy, too. Their popcorn is so-so; very often it's WAY too salty. And the movie selections is odd, but in a good way. They'll continue to show a movie there that's long gone from all the other theaters. The downside to that is you'll see it in one of their small little theaters that has a screen not much bigger than what we have at home.

Overall, we like to come here over any other theater.

The latest in theater comforts and a wide choice in movies.. The Films
Huebner Oaks 24 carries all weekly mainstream releases and, with its many screens, can offer the more popular releases for the last month. The theater also features one art house-style film each week.

The Extras
The large concession stand sells a variety of snacks: standards such as popcorn and soda, $2.19 each for a small, and more exotic snacks including nachos and slushies. Ticket prices also make Huebner an attractive theater. Twilight shows starting around 5pm offer the thrifty moviegoer an early evening alternative to the full ticket price. Students with a valid ID can get the $4 rate for all shows. The nearby plaza offers shopping, restaurants and a bookstore for before and after movie entertainment.
