The ultimate answer to kids' complaints of boredom is located in the heart of downtown.. Play and Learn
The San Antonio Children's Museum is a locale for learning, cleverly disguised as playing. The museum offers three floors of bilingual fun. On days unsuitable for outdoor recreation, it's a perfect indoor alternative. Children of elementary school age will get the most out of the 80-plus exhibits, created for hands-on discovery and stimulated creativity.

Things to Do
On the main floor, kids can experiment with bubbles of all sizes, use math and money skills at the Good Cent$ Bank (complete with ATM machine), or shop for groceries at the H-E-B Modern Market. A muscle-powered elevator provides accessibility to second-floor exhibits, while demonstrating the laws of physics. Upstairs, Runway #9 provides opportunities to pilot a plane, operate the control tower or play other travel-related roles. Young artists and writers will appreciate the art and newspaper rooms (museum educators must be present).
