Cats have their fair share of admirers--the ancient Egyptians worshipped them. So it's no surprise this upstart book and gift store sprung up in May 2000 to fill the void in kitty lovers' hearts. Our furry friends show up on T-shirts, tapestries and jigsaw puzzles at this northside store, and are represented by an eclectic selection of stuffed animals, jewelry and, yes, make your own kitty-shaped soap kits.

Don't forget the (mostly used) books--the store's main concentration is on mass-market paperbacks (romance, westerns and mysteries seem especially well-represented). But there's also a decent selection of children's literature and a small shelf of rare, out-of-print books.
