Tips for Fiesta Store

April 15, 2013

When you call the # for the store you are prompted to push different #'s for the directory BUT! you can NOT get anyone to answer the phone unless you know the name of someone who works there! So, the ONLY way to ask a question is in person. WHAT?

Pure GREED. I went to purchase tickets for the Texas Cavaliers Parade. I have to admit I was not looking to spend a lot of money. The woman recommended the beginning of the parade since I wanted front row...She also mentioned that the parade would start BEFORE the section where we were sitting- she even pointed it out. She seemed to be knowledgable & confident when sharing this information with me. After arriving at out seats we discovered that we were sitting in front of barge/float #16. The parade we paid to see was going to begin at the 16th barge...not #1 but, #16. We were all disappointed, but we tried to make the best of it. I could not believe that I was given false information, and to make matters worse I made a decision based on false information. If I would have been told that the middle of the parade route was a better choice I would have invested more money in to it. I cannot believe that someone thought it was a good idea to place seats so far past the 1st barge. Pure GREED!!!

**My advice to better prepare you for next year is that you make sure that the person sitting in seat #1 has just as good of a view as the person in the very last seat of the parade.** You should explain the drawbacks of purchasing seats at the beginning of the parade. Explain WHY(U miss out on the first 16 barges, some of the guests riding on the barges are not ready to wave, dance, etc., & the experience is totally different).

Thank you to those individuals whom acknowledged us (the stupid people who bought tickets at the beginning of that parade).

Year-round Fiesta activity in a new building.. Moving on Up
The Fiesta Commission moved from the Sunset Station compound to brand new colorful digs on the edge of Alamo Heights. They're making it that much easier to purchase Fiesta event memorabilia.

Must Haves
The hottest merchandise for this Fiesta season is light-up torches and beads (for Flambeau Parade and other night events)and elaborate pins. That's all in addition to posters and T-shirts with the annual winning design.

Ticket Time
Beginning March 30 through Fiesta tickets for parades will be available for purchase at the store. But don't miss out on a chair at a parade, purchase in advance from a local organization. Phone numbers are listed below.
