Get around downtown on two quarters flat.. Get Around
Traversing downtown can be fun, cheap and even adventurous in a bus decorated to look like a charming, old-fashioned streetcar. The four lines--red, blue, yellow and purple--crisscross downtown, stopping at or near most hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, shops, galleries and even the Alamodome.

Hop Aboard
Each vehicle runs on propane (no tracks or overhead lines) and features open-air seating sections separated by sliding doors, as well as a cabooselike rear with its own exit and windswept charm.

Hang On Tight
If you're not bruising your rear end bouncing around on the hardwood benches (apparently, the budget was cut somewhere between "shiny paint" and "shock absorbers"), you're hanging on for dear life as the vehicle takes corners and potholes like a runaway golf cart. It's all part of the fun, and at 50 cents a ride, there's no better-priced way to take in the city.
