I must agree with Guillermo. Throughout my travels, both academic and professional, I must say that Arjon's is a nice balance between classy and laid back. It is for all people who enjoy latin dancing and appreciate latin music. The live band on Sunday is great, the wait staff are eager to please, and the free instruction on Sundays is well free!! Not to mention the free instruction is a great way to begin learning and warm up for when the club gets going.

Rich sensual ambience... of another place and time. I love the place! Walking into Arjon's is like stepping back in time; like walking onto the set of a Bogart movie, or a Hemingway novel. The smoking and drinking just add to the rich sensual ambience.

Two reviews below are so off the mark!. I have been to Arjon's numerous times in the past several years and I have never experienced anything remotely similar to that described below in these two reviews. I have to wonder if they even went to Arjon's or know where it is.

It is not ghetto at all! It is a club for people of all ages who love to dance to Latin music - salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, reggaeton. Everyone is laid back - I have never had a bad experience there. They have live music on the weekends and the dance floor is packed. My wife is Colombian and it is her favorite place to dance in San Antonio - so what does that tell you?

Bad News. Very rude staff, especially the door man/owner, not to mention the club was very ghetto. By far the worst club I have ever been too.

Arjons - Stay Away.. Arjon's is anything but classy and upscale. The music was alright but the people, environment, and staff were horrible! Let's start with the people. It's somewhat interesting because you see a few nice, working professionals and then you have everyone else - Creeps and Hoodrats! Basically trash dancing Salsa...if that's what you want to call it. :) Don't even think about taking your girlfriend there. The sleezeballs are very touchy feely. This basically leads to fighting and bs that you should probably avoid. You don't want to get stabbed or shot. The staff is rude and slow. If they don't actually know you, you will never get a drink. You are basically invisible to them. To top it all off, the owner is arrogant and thinks he's better than everyone. Heed my warning and go somewhere else. There are plenty of great clubs and bars in San Antonio. This is not one of them...
