St. Anthony Hotel.
My husband and I choose the St. Anthony for a romantic getaway for our first stay in San Antonio since Highschool. I have to say I was very pleased. Being a little worried about how old the hotel was and reading the prior reviews about Travis Park, where all of the homeless stay during the day(who didn't bother us at all), actually surprised us. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are a little more antique, but it is a very homely feeling. The staff at the St Anthony are wonderful. They are there for your every need. The Riverwalk is only a block away and the Alamo is two blocks away, but with all of the sights to see inbetween it really didn't feel like a long walk at all. I would recomend staying at the St. Anthony if you are looking for excellent service, a little out the main district.

A Wonderful Experience!.
We had a wonderful experience at The Saint Anthony in San Antonio. The staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and classic with two very comfortable queen beds, two average size bathrooms, a fullsize dresser, mirror and sitting area. The location was perfect. A short walk to The Riverwalk, The Alamo, the Buckhorn Museum, the mall and many, many eateries. We were there to attend graduation ceremonies at Lackland AFB which was about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic. The hotels' location was convenient because it was about two blocks from everything downtown where most of our time was spent. We went to our room to cool off several times each day because the temperature reached over 100 degrees just about every day we were there. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will visiting their sons/daughters at Lackland AFB. You won't be disappointed. The hotel parking fee was $17 a night but you would pay that and more to park anywhere downtown if you could even find a place to park. In the end we saved time & money. **I also recommend bringing a GPS if you have one or renting one if you are renting a car.**
