MUST BE CAREFUL, get everything in WRITING!. Get it in writing! I received a very poor hair cut. I took in a photograph to show the cut I wanted. The stylist Ashley who did my cut kept talking on and on as she cut away. I kept saying please be careful of my cowlicks; if cut too short they will stand up straight. The next day I washed my hair and it was sticking up everywhere. I called the salon and spoke to Cacilia (CC for short and the owner) I went in and she asked me what could she do for me and that there was nothing that could be done now because it was already cut too short and the only thing I could do at this point is to wait for it to grow. No offer for a free cut. I was upset, it was horrible living with my hair cut this short. Three wks later I received a phone call from CC, telling me how sorry she was for not compensating me for the bad cut I got. CC said she had been told that I called about getting my hair colored and that she would be happy to color my hair for free. I told her that I'd like that and I put the offer in the back of my mind until I needed it. I called the Unlimited and requested my free color and was told that CC doesn't remember ever making any such offer. How unprofessional is that? She isn't old enough to have Alzheimer. The lesson I learned
EXCELLENT HAIR SALON. I have been a client with the salon over 8 years and continuing my service there! I have always gotten complements about my hair. The Unlimited Salon will always be my favorite salon and will continue to send folks over there!..Love you guys at the salon!!!!!
Excellent Hair Salon. I've been a client, as well as my 4 boys, of the Unlimited Hair Salon since my youngest was 4 yrs, he's now 13. They're not stuck in the past w/pulling your hair through the cap (ouch), use foils, they listen to what you want (bringing a picture of the cut/color is helpful). They are on the cutting edge of the hair industry, not timid in cuts or colors. If there is a misunderstanding and the outcome is not what the client expected, they bend over backwards to correct it and make you happy. They know how to give little boy haircuts to fades and everything inbetween for guys and can cut hair from wavy/curly to straight and inbetween. People stop me at the grocery store, gas station, mall and give me complements, comments on my cut and highlights frequently. You don't need to drive on the north side to get quality cut, color, service, it's in our backyard on the south side.
VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please take my advice seriously. DO NOT LET THEM TREAT YOU LIKE YOU DON'T EXIST. Very unprofessional. They would let you wait so they can chit-chat, laughing, etc. Then, they would turn to you and let you wait for more. Then, they would tell you to come back in 30 mins and let you wait for more without saying a word. After you run out of patience, they would call you that they are ready for you. And, that would be another 30 mins. By the time they call you, you would probably get your hair done by other salon next to them. Try that place(Fantastic Sam) they are a lot cheaper and you would get absolute better service.
Beware. This salon has the unusual practice of having guests face the opposite direction of the mirror until their services are completed. This made me a little nervous and for good reason, when the stylist turned me around i was horrified!!! The honey highlights i had anticipated were soooo blonde they were almost white! I brought in a friggin picture for goodness sake, what more do they want? Now, i hate complaining, and i won't unless i just can't take it. So i called back and let my stylist know the situation and she told me to come in the next day. When i went in, she did do her best to fix them but the whole time the other stylists were snickering and making jokes, obviously about me, and i swear i think the owner herself even gasped when my stylist took the towel off my head so as to try to freak me out. When she did this all the other girls just laughed. I did not appreciate this, but i caught on to what she was doing and didn't say a word. Very professional don't you think? But, i will do my best to spread the word on websites like this one in hopes of saving other unsuspecting individuals from the same ridicule i experienced. Maybe the next time she gasps it will be because her salon is going out of business. Karma's a bitch-lol
