Good Product, Good Installer, Untrustworthy sales. I truly wanted to give this shop 5 stars. If it were based on install quality, friendliness, helpfulness, it would be a solid 5. Instead, due to the wrongful price quote, I give them a 2. They tried to take advantage of me. I don't appreciate it.

I've given it a few weeks to make sure nothing broke in the first days of owning this, it's a great system, great setup, but I'm not rating their installation quality or the item I purchased. I'm rating them as a business..

I was looking for an alarm and remote start for my truck which was just broken into. I called around and after finding a few places, decided on this small shop on the west side. I called and probed a bit before going in person, and then decided to drive in and see what they could do.

I went in with a price in mind that I wanted to pay as I had a quote from best buy and it was way out of my budget, I called B's and I got a great over the phone quote, when I got there, I asked again how much, he undercutted himself at that point, I was amazed. I wondered how they could do this job so cheap?! I know Best Buy required another 100-150 for an interface piece required for the remote start, plus it was even more for the alarm at best buy, I was told at B's that it was included, we agreed on a price, and then shook on it. Later on, this would bite me in the ***.

I had an alarm and remote start installed in my truck that same day, they did a great job installing it and had it done about the timeframe they said they would take.

When I went in, i looked at the invoice, the price written down was like 100 dollars more than previously agreed on. Remember, partly my fault, I never checked the writeen quote. I imagine this routine happens a lot with this place. What this guy did was he found out best buy was charging seperately for this module, so he elected to pass this fee on to me. I argued for some time before finally, with the help of his younger coworker, agreed in the middle. After tax, it ended up being about 30 dollars more than I wanted to pay, but he wanted nearly 120 more than that after tax. I know for sure, I was NOT in the wrong, If he was right, and agreed on the higher price originally, why did he immediately start dropping the price when confronted? Because he was in the wrong, he was being dishonest and tried to take advantage of me.

As far as the installation, Im MECP certified, I've installed stereos and alarms in cars for about 15 years. I hate installing alarms, which is why I let others do that for me. This shop seemed to have done a pretty good job installing the system for me.

There was one little problem with the install that I noticed later that night, They connected the light input to the wrong wire, so only 1/2 the lights came on, soI took it back the following day and they fixed it on the spot, no questions asked. And for that, I commend them. it was fixed in about 15 or 20 minutes., this of course was free, after all, it was their mistake. I would go back here for car audio, but any business transactions will be written down and signed/copied first. I'll never make this mistake again, with any business. Always get a written quote.

I grew up in a small enough town where your word and a handshake were all that was required. People didn't screw you over cause of a blank work order, or because you were in a vulnerable spot. I made the mistake of trusting a business... make sure you dont!

All in all, if you go in, get a signed work order BEFORE you give them the keys. I nearly got screwed because of this. If it werent for him trying to add in/charge for parts he said were included, I would have given this shop a solid 5/5, now I make it my goal to educate other shoppers about the man who's word and handshake means nothing..

A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE !!!!!. The customer service at BROTHER AUDIO SOUND was awesome, i was hired as a mystery shopper by this client , never before was i hired by an individual , but after they read some of the blistering reviews they thought it would easier to go through this process THAN TO MAKE A PURCHASE ONLY TO BE DISAPPOINTED, you probably want to know why not just go some where else, well that's my story you see my client is disabled, so traveling is a event within itself. Disabled or not my client loves her music and she was not taking no for an answer so she set out to find a place to get her new system installed in her new luxury fully equipped van this is a really nice vehicle not average by any means. After fully investigating each shop over the phone it was time to make a purchase , there was only one problem traveling, and it did not make any easier when each shop wanted her to bring her van in , not to mention that they pretty much offered the same service incentive, what to do what to do , That's where i come, so to narrow down the field i went to work shopping each store not to mention any names except the the final stop BROTHER AUDIO SOUND. The service was beyond what i expected , the representatives were friendly and informative they helped me make a decision based on value ,instead of the quick promo sale. Well i don't have to tell you how impressed i was when they did not try to sale me products i did not need, my purchase was minimal in comparison to the one my client was about to make but at this point i was pretty sure my client would be safe in their hands, but then the most surprising thing happen , i received a call from their customer relation personnel they wanted to make sure my experience was one that would bring me back as a return customer assuring me that they were there to serve me that did it for me, great price, service and follow up, if there was anything more am sure they are more than willing to accommodate , They made my client , A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE !!!! Great Customer Care!!!. First of all, i wish to thank Brother Audio for the great work and personal attention that they gave me. I needed some professional help in installing new sound system in my prized restored muscle car.

They gave me many different choices of equipment that would better serve my purpose and get the best for my money. They did it without changing the electric schematics or cutting up my dashboard to make it all fit.



I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a personal touch to upgrading or changing there vehicle audio/visual system in there personal or company vehicle.

TOO AWESOME!!!. In all honesty these guys have always been good to me and my friends. I have been going to them for all my audio and tint needs ever since high school. They actually give a crap about you and it gives them a personal touch i haven't experienced with other shops.

I highly recommend these guys for their 'brotherly' service, the best prices, and great work that is backed up with a no BS warranty. I just felt compelled to write a review because of the other negative one that truly paints a completely different picture than what me and my friends have experienced. Seriously, for my car audio and tint needs, these guys are a no brainer!

AVOID!!. My first experience was actually a positive one. I went in looking for help in selecting a new system for my husband's truck as a Christmas gift. Not having a clue as to what I was looking for, the gentleman was kind enough to spend about 30 mins explaining the different components and recommending different options. Although I found what I was looking for on the internet for a fraction of the cost I made the decision to have them install the system based on my initial experience. When I returned to have the system installed, the gentleman I had originally spoken with was not there and the owner offered to assist me - a much different experience! The owner was extremely rude, condescending, and lacked any sort of customer service skills.

I was given an installation quote of $80 on 2 separate occasions; however, the owner wanted to charge double! When I explained that I had been given a different quote he gave ME attitude. At that point I was reluctant to have them install the system, but against better judgment I left it in their hands with a final quote of $80. Two hours later, the owner called stating that I had given them the wrong parts for proper installation. I explained that the parts came direct from the manufacturer and that it clearly stated on the packets that it was the correct parts. In a very condescending voice, he told me that I was wrong and that the new parts were going to cost approx. $80. Hmmmm… it’s interesting that the new parts were going to equally the amount he wanted to charge originally. Not to mention that those same parts cost about $10 online. At that point, I was too afraid that he would jack-up my husband's truck if I told him no, so I went ahead with the deal.

SO...$160 later I picked up the truck and what do I find? Scratches ALL over the dash!! Not just little unnoticeable scratches, but serious scratches ALL around the edges of the dash. AND, they didn't even harness the bass tube down correctly!

In my opinion, there are plenty of other businesses around San Antonio who will provide better service for less money. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!
