Won't go back. I have always loved Le Peep, but I will not go back to the Nac. location. I ordered the Florentine Benedict(which I always order) and the eggs were hard boiled! When I pointed it out to the waiter, he just looked at the eggs and said, "they aren't suppossed to look like that?" Then he offered to tell the owner. When he came back with the bill he said that if we wanted to complain we could do so on our way out, because the owner was working the register. I let the owner know and he just said that he would need to have a talk with the staff. The whole point was for the waiter to show the plate to the cook and owner so they could see how over-cooked the eggs were. I wasn't wanting a refund, just a little concern over the food, also it took almost 40 min. to get our food. It was not busy as it was a Mon. at 12:30.
GREAT PLACE. WE GO DURNING THE WEEK AND SIT ON THE PATIO WE HAVE A SMALL DOG AND HE GOES WITH US AND THEY BRING HIM A DOGGIE BOWL OF TREATS AND WATER , AS FOR THE FOOD ITS GREAT WEATHER ITS BREAKFAST OR LUNCH . AND THE WAITSTAFF DOSENT FORGET US EVEN IF U R IN PATIO.
An over-priced breakfast spot with under-par service. Years ago, Le Peep was "the" breakfast spot in Dallas so I was thrilled when it finally found its way to San Antonio, thinking those bountiful breakfast dishes were about to appear in my neighborhood! No such luck. The local version serves scrawny portions, barely warm and horribly overpriced. The service is an afterthought, but the Nacogdoches location is physically attractive, located in a former Italian restaurant. My advice? Save your money and head to the nearest pancake house instead! For the difference in price, you can bribe a waitress to bring you a side of Hollandaise that's actually still hot, and still have money left over.
This breakfast and lunch nook dishes out generously portioned egg dishes, skillets, crepes and sandwiches..
In Short
This national chain restaurant is where neighborhood types map out their morning game plans over eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy or scrambled eggs. Menu items have catchy names like the White Lightning: an omelette with diced chicken, onions, green chilies, cheese and avocado. Several dishes cater to calorie counters without compromising taste: The Mini Veggie Omelette has two eggs, tomatoes, broccoli, green peppers, onions and cheese. Salads, panini, burgers and smoothies round out the offerings.
Not bad, go early. We decided it was time to find a new breakfast favorite in SA. LePeep was a good choice. We arrived about 930 on a Sunday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I had the breakfast banana split (fruit and yogert) while hubby had the waffles. We had great service and the food was very good. Nothing about it stood out from other breakfast places, except maybe the atmosphere. We went to the one in Stone Oak and it is very light and clean. I would recommend going before about 10am on a Sunday, as that is about when the line started to form at the door.
Glorious morning!. I had the Lumberjack combo (2 eggs over easy, a short stack, seasoned potatoes, and a sausage link) Oh it was so good! I agree with some of the other reviewers when I say they need more staff. We barely saw our waitress. But they also make it so you don't really need them as much, by giving us our own pitcher of ice water (we didn't order coffee). The food was good. Good enough to ignore the lack of service.
Long wait, inattendant and indifferent service, mediocre food. Total zoo on the weekends. They are so popular that they figure they don't need to bother with good service. As long as they're the only brunch place in Stone Oak, they have a captive clientele. The food is pricey and mediocre. I'd rather drive ten minutes longer and go to cool cafe any day.
GREAT BREAKFAST!. Le Peep is a such a nice place for breakfast! Lots of selection, and for java junkies like me, they leave the carafe of coffee on the table! Super good omelets, really good poached eggs, fast and friendly service, and nice sunny environment make it one of our favorite spots!
Perfect Brunch Place...GREAT food!. My husband and I LOVED Le Peep...he's a breakfast nut and I'm a lunch person. He got the Lumberjack that has some of everything, and I got a panini that was fantastic. The fresh squeezed OJ and HUGE lates are great too!
Hearty Breakfasts. This is a great place to enjoy a slow, filling, delicious breakfast after a long night of hitting the town. The fans on the patio make the outdoor dining cool and enjoyable. The location is great as well.
