Tips for Clear Springs Texas Seafood

Nice atmosphere, Good Food, Afordable. I go to Clear Springs pretty regularly, it's close to work. And I love the outlaw burger! I add jalapenos to it to give it an extra kick. The burger is delicious, it has pickles, bacon, melted cheese, BBQ sauce and onion rings on it and comes with french fries. I'm not a big person but the burger is huge and I don't want to put it down until I am finished! They also have jalapeno corn chowder that I love as well.

Last time I went there was a good amount of people there... a big group of people were there as well so it took a little longer for my food but I understood, being a waitress before you see and understand these things but I usually don't have this problem I can get in and out in my hour lunch break!

Good Food. Affordable. Comfortable Seating and Environment.. My first time, and I'll definitely go back. Excellent service. Affordable. I saw the manager hovering over the operation and checking on regulars (and it's obvious that there are many regulars because everyone seems so comfortable). I didn't try any of the drinks, but the bar is well-stocked. I had a small order of onion rings (and I'm glad I didn't order the small, because the small is large). I had the chicken in garlic sauce with a cajun rice side and sauteed vegetables. My companion had chicken fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes and also the cajun rice. Good food in a casual, friendly environment. This place had been on my "to do" list for a long time but it took a long line at Chuy's for me to decide to try it. Glad I did.

awesome salad!. One random, rainy Monday I was absolutely craving a big salad. My co-workers suggested Clear Springs and I was delighted when I opened the menu to see--what else--but "Big Salads" in large letters! The chicken club salad had seasoned chicken strips, crispy onion straws, cheese, avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and honey mustard dressing on top of mixed greens (not your dietician's salad). My co-workers both had the catfish & fries plate and each (a petite female doctor and a skinny male doctor) finished every crumb--and not because they didn't get enough to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet enough to hold a solid conversation without going deaf, the dining area is large enough to accommodate groups of all sizes, and other patrons genuinely seemed to be enjoying themselves. Bottom line: I got more than what I was waiting for--and, by the way, this massive meal costs only $8.

Editorial Review. Popular statewide chain offers country cooking with hand-breaded catfish, oysters, chicken fried steak and onion rings; lighter grilled menu available.
