Amazing find.
We came to visit our daughter and son-in-law a few months ago...they wanted to take us out for a good time and some good food...we were game...The Texas Roadhouse was the BEST place we'd eaten in a long time....BBQ was great, steaks to die for!!! Actually cooked the way we wanted! Drinks were excellent...the best Bloody Mary in a long time. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful....In the east that's a 10!
I tried to find out how to get a franchise to the East Coast so Yankees could see what they were missing.

Roadhouse rules!. We've been to the Texas Roadhouse at least twice a month from the time they've opened. They are the most consistent steak house I've ever been to. Their wait staff is excellent and the food is outstanding. Their happy hour specials and prices will have you coming back for more!!!

Poor Service and Food. It took over an hour to receive our food. When we did finally get it the meat was tough and overcooked.

GREAT steaks at a great price. Have been a few times to the one in Live Oak (1604 and 35) and they do have the BEST sirloin I have had anywhere. I think they have some kind of rub they put on the meat, because it just melts in your mouth!!

do not go here.
I was not impressed, but very dissappointed with this resturant. I ordered a fliet Migon Medium well and it was served to me bloody. I sent it back and it was given to me shrunken and still bloody. They are slow and have rude waiters. Do not go to this resturant, you will be dissapointed.

Good Food. Went in with a family of four, and left 60 dollars lighter. That is very resonable. If you have enough room for dessert, highly recommend the "mile high brownie". Altough it comes with four spoons. Flipping huge. The service staff is very efficient, going out of their way to please. We went there friday, and recommend getting there before 0600 PM. The wait was only twenty five minutes.

FRESH MEAT!.
What a fun place! The ambience here is all TEXAS ! I love throwing my peanut hulls on the floor ... feels sorta naughty.
The steak is fresh, not frozen as is the meat at the Outback though both get their beef from grain-fed Kansas City.
The bar is lively and the wait-persons are very friendly. The steak is seasoned a bit heavy so you might want to ask them to tone it down a little.
I've enjoyed this restaurant very much.
