I recently moved my property to Prudential Don Johnson to have it managed by them. It has been a refreshing experience to have a manager that puts the owner first and who doesn't sell real estate. In my past experiences I believe that they were more concerned about keeping the tenant happy at my expense so they could sell them a home when they were done renting.

When considering Real Estate Agents or Real Estate management companies in San Antonio, TX please be wary of Don Johnson Prudential Real Estate. I recently moved into a property that is managed by this company and it has been an awful experience. My husband is military, but we live off base. According the lease, the company states they are military friendly.

This is not the truth. Customer service not there. They are rude and talk over people. I've never been late with rent or anything and I'm treated like a delinquent deadbeat. You can never get a phone call back or when you do, it's as if you are the biggest bother.

EVERYTHING was an issue. When we were working on the lease and getting everything organized, they just could not understand that my husband and I were living 2057 miles apart due to the military. Don Johnson's agents' were frustrated and had no empathy for why we couldn't just show up during working hours, during the week to finalize all the paperwork. Once the lease was signed and all moneys were given prior to the move in date, we thought that would be the end of our trouble. No, sadly, that was just the beginning.

We came home to about two inches of water in the hallway and guest bedroom, the air conditioning unit was leaking like a faucet. We called the emergency number on a Monday night. We did not receive a phone call back at all, I had to call again. It took three phone calls and two days to get actual help. Although, the third party contractors who did the work were amazing and friendly. They did not usually work for Don Johnson, go figure.

Renter BEWARE, would recommend NOT renting from this company. You'll regret it, we are.

Also when it comes time to buy a home, my husband and I will NEVER use a Prudential Real Estate agent. If they cannot be bothered to call back about an emergency, would they actual do the work to help someone find a home?

Professional Experience. I have been impressed by Don Johnson Company for the last eight years. They have managed five of my rental homes in San Antonio and the surrounding area and have continuously impressed me with their sound judgement. They have been extremely thorough in selecting tenants. It is a pleasure, and very reassuring to do business with the oldest real estate company in town.

I usually don't use realtors, but now I'm hooked. I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the service my wife and I received. My agent Mae Ann was very good about getting back to us in a timely manner (which a lot of real estate agents DON'T do). Before I was very against using an agent because of the comission expense, but then she explained that working with an agent as a buyer is free. Yep FREE. I guess I never realized that the seller pays the commission, so I got all her help for free. I'm never not going to use a real estate agent again, and when I do use one, it will definately be an agent from Prudential Don Johnson.

I was very impressed. Great real estate company. My realtor Jason was an awesome agent and sold my home in less than a month. He was very friendly and really cared about satisfying me and getting my home sold. Will recommend Jason to friends in SA and will use Prudential again in the future.

Wonderful, professional experience. I just moved into my new house thanks to my realtor at Prudential Don Johnson in San Antonio. She was able to find me the perfect home near my military base, and worked with me through all the obstacles we came across in my deal. Now I have a short commute and I'm investing money into my new home--best experience I've had with a realty company. I will recommend to my other military friends.

By FAR the best company to follow up and help me!!!!. Honestly....the BEST experience I've had with a realtor. I worked with Kelsey Johnson and she was great about communicating with me and helping me throughout the entire renting process. She sent me a ton of houses to see, and was very thorough in explaining the application process. What got me was her professionalism and communication skills. Don't waste your times with other realtors who don't get back to you!!!!

WORST Realtor in San Antonio. DO NOT rent from this people. Mrs. Bloom will point blank lie about what was there when you got the property and when you return it. Totally disregarded TX law in terms of time allocated to return deposit and detailed description. IF YOU ARE MILITARY, DO NOT USE THEM. Ft Sam Houston and Bolling AFB Judge Advocates are still waiting for an answer from their misinterpretation of the law as in applies to US service members. BBB did not good with them. We will see them in court.
