Facility needs repair and overpriced for old, mismatched equipment. Very small indoor pool and no outdoor facilities.
Excellent trainer staff for classes...hopefully, they're able to get better opportunities someplace else.
Indoor child care facility adequate but looked progressively dirty over time. Really liked child care staff until one employee tried to give my kid to the wrong person and wouldn't listen when the other person wanted "his kid instead".
Inept management & admin team. On my 3rd attempt to fix a billing error. Never able to talk with same person twice. Computers always "down" or staff of the day at front counter unable to sign in or don't know how to use computer system. Staff loses paperwork and not really interested in my copies. Really enthusiastic manager talked to us nonstop when we joined. Will not talk to us about billing dispute...always out of the office.
Expensive but Decent

I've been to every location of Spectrum in San Antonio. The facilities vary and they've removed many of the racquetball courts. Generally speaking, the machines are in good shape and towel service/shampoo/spray deodorant and (free) lockers with built-in locks is available. Front desk employees are nice, Salespeople are stuck-up. Expensive ($140 per family without child-care) and doesn't have facilities outside San Antonio, TX and California. However, San Antonio is fairly well covered.
- Pros: multiple locations, good equipment, all purpose gym
- Cons: expensive, not nation-wide
Great bikes!
by ballboy4u at Citysearch
I'm an avid cyclist and love to do spin classes. When I checked out this club I was impressed with the staff and the cleanliness, but what really blew me away were the cycle bikes. They are the mack-daddy of spin bikes. After taking a class, I was hooked, I joined my entire family up on the spot.
A great place to swim..

I went looking just for a place to swim, and did I find a great place. The pool at the club is beautiful, it's always crystal clear, and the perfect temperature. The staff was so helpful, and they even provided towels. After my swim, I spent some time in the hot tub and dry sauna, both were so clean. As I was leaving the young man working the check in desk said good bye, and used my name. It was only my 3rd visit, very impressive!!!
I'd reccommend this club to all my family and friends.
BEST TRAINERS!
by tylerfitness at Citysearch
I have been a member of Spectrum for about a year now...It's an awesome club to workout at...it's always clean and the staff is always so helpful. They are always making improvements to the club and trying to make working out exciting. I highly reccommend gettting a personal trainer. I thought I knew what I was doing in the gym and always made small changes but since I hired my trainer the pounds have just fell off! We all need a little motivation sometimes! It's worth the money to invest in your health and the luxury of Spectrum Clubs!
- Pros: trainers, staff, equipment
