In 1909 the International Order of Odd Fellows built a lodge and hotel on the site of the historical battle for The Alamo. Today the building has been restored to its former grandeur. One of its best assets is its location, directly behind the famous mission. Many popular attractions are within walking distance, including Rivercenter Mall and the River Walk.

Very nice hotel

I've stayed here twice and I'll say that this hotel is very clean and has a nice staff. The lounge is very nice and they also serve good food in the restaurant. I only wish they would have had refrigirators in the room. Otherwise a fine, historic hotel.
- Pros: Friendly staff, Good breakfast, Nice lounge
- Cons: No free parking, No refridgirators, No microwaves
