Irma Lopez at Skin the Day Spa is FANTASTIC!!! Irma one of the most talented massage therapists I’ve ever worked with. She is truly a gifted healer, and she really takes that responsibility seriously.

I have had back and neck problems for some time now, and I have been getting monthly massages from Irma for about 3 years.

Several years ago, I was working in Del Rio for the week. One of my contacts tore, and I didn’t have a replacement. So when I drove back, I basically couldn’t see out of one of my eyes. I woke up the following day with a screaming headache. I thought it was just from the stress of working out of town, sleeping in a hotel bed, and driving long distances. So I called Irma and went in for an appointment. Even though I didn’t tell her about my problem with my contact/ eyes, she zeroed in on a spot at the base of my skull. I almost fell off the massage table when she asked me what was wrong with my left eye. She was quickly able to find the spot that was causing my pain, and by massaging other areas of my body, she was able to take that pain away.

Irma helped me out tremendously last month when I had a horrible neck spasm. I was in unbelievable pain. She was able to fit me in for an appointment first thing in the morning, and she worked on my back and neck so that I could move again. She applied heat in an effort to get my back and neck to relax a little, then she worked on and around all the muscles that were in spasm, and finally applied ice to reduce the inflammation. She worked on me for much longer than an hour, but she only charged me for an hour. And I felt *SO* *MUCH* *BETTER* when I left. She even followed up to make sure I was doing OK later that day.

Simple Wonderful!. I am not one to write a review but Skin the Day Spa deserves one. I been to many brand name spa in San Antonio and this place is #1. I stop there because I wanted to try the new shellac manicure....I a glad I did. The staff is exceptional, knowledgeable, welcoming, caring and thought full. I notice the owners are there so I felt if I had a complaint I would not get the run around. Now, that I have tryed the others and I have chosen the best Day Spa in San Antonio. Skin the Day Spa Is Great!!! If you are like me support you local small business. You will find a gem! Thank you Ladies!

It's a Great Place!!!!. I had brought a Groupon and thought I would give this place a chance. They have a small staff but their very good at what they do. I got a facial, massage, shellac manicure. It was great. I don't understand how some people can leave such ugly comments. The staff is friendly, very educated, and the place is clean and pleasant. I admit I was kinda of scare because of the last review. But, the owners are there and asked me if my services were good. I told them it was fantastic!!!! I believe in supporting small business like this one... and will be going back very soon. Really, support this spa... it is a great place.

Owners response. We strive to provide the best services possible. The request the client made was not reasonable and our esthetician made a decision not to provide the service requested. We back up our employees 100%.

Terrible Dissappointed!. This is just in regards to the appointment I had today at the Skin the Day Spa. I paid $25.00 for a $50.00 Groupon and the service was so terribly below average. I've gotten facials before, and face waxings and this one was so lame. The facial consisted of scrubbing my face and then taking it off and putting lotion on it, all in less than 15 minutes. She said my face was already soft so she didn't really want to bother with it.

I had scheduled a full face waxing, as well. The facialist decided she did not want to wax my face, but just my upperlip and chin. I just spent the last 30 minutes waxing my face at home. It's so preposterous. I don't know why I even bothered to go through with this appointment. Next time I'll just go down the street to the Vietnamese lady and have her wax my face. It will be cheaper and better!

AWESOME SPA!. I recently had a surprise 70th Birthday Spa day for my Mom at Skin - the day spa. The Owners were fantastic, bending over backwards to accomodate us (8 women) on such short notice. We loved all the treatments and had a fantastic time. We were allowed to bring snacks and wine and decorations no problem! What a great place to throw a spa party. We will be going back for more parties and treatments!

Response to Aggie.... Since as an owner I have no other way to respond, or even know who is writing a review, I am using this as a means to respond.

There are two owners at Skin. I asked the other owner, and the employees of our spa if they have any recall on this scenario. None of us do. Perhaps you were at another spa with a similar name.

We have been in business for over 9 years and base our success on happy customer and employees.

Very rude. Went there because I was looking for a good nail tech--well, she was very good, very accomodating. And I had one great massage. But the owner's rudeness to her employee, in front of me was disgusting. Because the nail tech had done a little extra for me (with my materials), she chewed her out and made me so uncomfortable, I never went back. Nor will I!! My daughter also stopped going because of her own experience of the same type of behavior.

Great Spa, Great Service. Every year my husband and I make a point of going to Skin The Day Spa for Valentines Day. They always have roses, chocolates and wine for us, and the ambiance is great. We enjoy the massage for two and the chocolate raspberry pedicures. We have always been pleased with the service and hospitality. We look forward to our day together. Great place. Great people.
