Yuk! Yuk!. My son and I tried this while staying overnight in San Antonio. Would have rather gone without dinner. I had the appetizer platter with Quesadillas, Chicken Flautas, Chili Con Queso, Chicken Fajita nachos, Guacamole and Sour Cream. I will describe each item.

Chili Con Queso was average. Guacamole was brown. Quesadilla was 2 tortillas with a teaspoon of cheddar cheese inside, I have never seen anything like it! Flauta was a tortilla wrapped around a plain unseasoned chicken tender and was undercooked. The Chicken Fajita Nacho was just downright awful! I took a bite before I thought to really look at it. Tasted Terrible and looked sickening! My 18 year old says he gets sick just thinking about it. My son and I tried this while staying overnight in San Antonio. Would have rather gone without dinner. Wish I would have taken a picture to post so you could see the little bitty pieces of weird looking chicken??? Arghhhh, still can't believe we went there. My son muddled through a 1/4 of his nachos which was chips topped with refried beans, cheese and about a pound of ground beef. Oh and Salsa tasted like thinned Ketchup.

Awesome Food. Hey... went to SA to visit a friend , she took me to Las Palapas for breakfast on my first morning and i really enjoyed the experience . The food and atmosphere was excellent and the staff were brill , very friendly and very helpful to a mexican food novice like me , infact they could not have been more attentive .

I went there numerous times (6-7) over my 2 week stay and NEVER had a bad experience , i would recommend it to everyone .

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. When I went through the drive through, the girl taking my order was playing around with someone else...then they made me pull up and wait so I figured since I was waiting outside of the line where they could take their time, they won't make a mistake on my order. I drove home, hurried because my family and I had alot planned for the day with the fall fests going on everywhere, and guess what...the I was missing MY food...just what I ordered for myself. So they wanted me to waste gas going back to get what they couldn't get right because the people working there were too busy playing...did not offer a replacement meal, nor did the manager offer anything else...but I later found out that Mr. Owner of the franchise, David Lovelace or something rather...will not give the authority to his managers to make things right with the customer and instead of keeping future cash coming in, all he was worried about was the 22 bucks I spent and keeping it. I asked them to mail me a refund of what I paid them for and didn't receive and the owner apparently can do as he pleases accourding to the corporate office. So, I didn't get my money back but will be writing the proper organization and little advice to you all, go to TACO CABANA!! At least if they make a mistake, they apologize and make things right with the customer. The food has slipped tremendously and my family said it's not like it used to be....I guess with their price markups, they have decided to do as little as possible to make the food taste good anymore. My father threw his food away because he said it tasted like ****.
