So Good I'm Almost Afraid To Tell People About it.. This is my most favorite Mexican Restaurant in San Antonio, bar none! It has a traditional Hispanic family atmosphere, which means that it is ALWAYS busy!!! That adds to the ambiance and charm.The decor is breathtakingly beautiful. Wall sized, hand painted, 3D, colorful murals of old Mexican haciendas and town homes grace the walls. The artistry is unparalleled and you spend time getting lost the detail in these murals, fascinating. This place is not fancy!! It's down home, casual, a light filled country atmosphere. It is true to what you would find in Arandas Mexico, from whence their name is drawn.

The wait staff appear to be tight knit, loving family members, mostly speaking Spanish.

This is a hometown gathering place for the Hispanic community, charming. Wait staff is fast, efficient, respectful and courteous, and to regulars, warmly affectionate. They know their job, do it with dedication and commitment rarely seen. If your coffee cup is empty, it gets filled, quietly and unobtrusively. The love is palpable.The food is the surprise but not the biggest one. Portions are HUGE! Only the best ingredients are used, menu is extensive. Everything is delicious! Presentation is not fussy, but attractive. Two people can eat there and get stuffed for well under $20. Our average bill is around $14 including drinks.

My favorite, is the enchilada plate. Tastes just like my godmother made it. My husband loves Enchilada Verde's because he loves spicy food. The hotter the better for him and this dish is an eye waterer. Tastes range from subtle to bold. We delight in going for Huevos Rancheros for breakfast. Their variety of breakfast tacos can't be beat. If you are looking for an all around inexpensive, good family dining experience it most definitely is it! This place is a sleeper in the traditional sense. Like I said in the title, it's so good I'm almost afraid to tell people about it. It might become too popular and change...but I doubt it.
