Normally good, but NOT this location!. Normally, I really like Sonic and eat there about 2-3 times a month. Also love the Happy Hour special from 2-4. But the service at this location is pretty bad. I live close to this one, but I will drive another 2-3 miles to go to either Huebner or DeZavala locations. I drove to this Sonic (on Vance Jackson) around 3:45 on a Friday afternoon. I chose the drive thru because my cat was in a carrier in the back seat. I thought I'd get burgers for me and my boyfriend, tater tots, and a couple of large drinks. As I sat there, 3 other cars gradually pulled in behind me. I continued to wait at the window and gave the girl my money. She gave me change and my two drinks. Then I sat there for over 10 minutes with no attention from her whatsoever. One car in line began honking and drove off. But I watched her serve the other two cars their food. I still sat waiting at the window. After 15 minutes, I tried to wave at her to ask for a straw. (She gave me drinks, but no straws.) Still, after 15 minutes, she chatted with co-workers and ignored me. UGH. Finally a guy standing several feet behind her saw me and asked if I needed help. It turns out my bag of food just sat there and got cold. I thanked this guy, who was very nice and offered to get the manager. But I had to get my cat home. I will never go there again. I would give one star but at least ONE PERSON working there was courteous and tried to help me. Also, I need to add that the other Sonic locations I've mentioned always have good food and great service.

Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain.. In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
