louie ledeaux cajun food. i have been several times, i love their food. the pasta charlotte is the best pasta ive ever had and the food has always been prepared consistently.. i have been their several times over the last 5 years. the service has ALWAYS been good and the management has been on a more personal level.. they take pride in their menu and at least a few employees have been there since ive discovered this place which i believe says something. i would most definitely recommend LOUIE LEDEAUX's. gator bites, dirty rice, cajun ranch. i like to mix the dirty rice w a little cajun ranch and a bunch of Tabasco. mmm good eats and fun atmosphere.

Great food!!!!!. I was extremely pleased with the atmosphere and the prompt service. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Mardi Gras and it was the best I ever tasted! Better than Pappadeaux! I will definitely return and will recommend this food to everyone! I plan on going back for their lunch specials. Also, I went with three kids and it was the perfect setting-- not too fancy, but very pleasant and kid friendly! I didn't find anything to complain about. Don't know why the other two reviews were negative. I read them before I went and kept an open mind. I was impressed!

Best Cajun Food in the City!!!. I don't know where these other people ate at either, but the food here is great!!! I have eaten here about once a month and never been disappointed. The food does take longer because it is made to order, but it is worth the wait. The crawfish is fabulous, the platter with 1/2 fried and 1/2 etouffee is wonderful. The etouffee has a great dark brown roux sauce that is spicy but balanced. The blackened fish is wonderful also, the right blend of seasoning, and always cooked just right and served hot. The fried fish is pretty good also.

This restaurant is very casual, no waiters, you stand in line, order and pay, and go get your food when it is ready. Similar ambiance to Snoopy's in Corpus Christi, or Willie's on San Pedro but all indoors.

BEST CAJUN FOOD IN SAN ANTONIO. I am not sure where these other three people were eating. LOL. We come to this place about twice a week. I love Pappadeaux's, but cant afford to eat there (except special occassions) because the food is so expensive. This is a great alternative. The most expensive plate is about 15.99 and it has everything on it. The only thing I have tried that I just don't like is the crab cakes. I get the crawfish 1/2 and 1/2 (even though I always say I am going to try something new) and it's excellent. It's enough for me to eat there and take for lunch the next day at least. The owner is the greatest, always friendly, always greets us at the counter and comes out and says hi if he isn't back there cooking. The food is always hot and fresh and it's cooked to order. We went on Friday and the girl at the front counter, Monica, wasn't so nice but she looks like a high school kid, so, what do you expect. I have no complaints about this place. The cajun ranch for dipping is yummy. The oysters were cooked perfect, the alligator is cooked perfect and the crawfish ettoufee and crawfish tails are delicious. The best fried catfish!!!!! I can't say enough about this place, honestly. We used to eat at Wahoo's on 281 or that place on I10/Wurzbach (can't remember the name) and it is just as good if not better and way more reasonable. If you care to take the drive to the Forum, please try this place out, it is worth your while.

Scott. Food was average and the service was bad. We requested our children's food come out at the same time as our appetizer, which didn't happen. Twenty minutes after we placed our order I went to check on it in case there was some kind of mix up (since it really wasn't all that busy). I asked nicely but was then berated by the owner of the restuarant! He was in the kitchen cooking and yelled at me through the opening between the kitchen and the counter that their food is "cooked to order" and I needed to wait because they had other people ahead of me. He was very rude and condescending even though all I did was politely ask the man at the counter if he could check on the status of our order. A simple answer of "I'm sorry. We're busy and we will get your order to you as soon as possible" would have sufficed.

We won't be back!!!

Worst sevice in the world. Stay as far away from this place as possible. The owner told me to leave his restaurant because I complaint that my take out order was not correct. And this after his brain dead cashier had me wait 10mins in the line for pick ups only ignoring me and taking care of other customers. The food is alright it has gone down hill. I have witness how rude he was to his employee and never in a million years thought he would be rude to a regular customer. So if you want horrible sevice and ok food go to louie ledeaux

Ok for a Cajun seafood joint.. Food is ok. Nothing spectacular to write home about. I've always wondered why the parking lot in front of this establishment is never jam packed. And now I know! This place is worth trying out though.
