It's not what I expected. I'll admit it's a nice building with good music, but the people are not friendly. I'm hispanic and the whites here just gave me ugly looks. Then there were groups of ghetto gangster kids outside the venue. I swear, I thought a fight would break out. Never coming here again.

An absolutely fabulous venue!!! My Italian husband and I recently got married in San Antonio and we wanted to take his European friends out to a true Texas experience. We ended up reserving a space and bar at Cowboys Dance Hall for our rehearsal dinner after-party and could not have made a better choice. His 60+ European guests and my college friends from the North East had the time of their lives two-stepping, listening to the amazing band and trying out the mechanical bull. The staff couldn't have been nicer and were such a pleasure to work with. The drinks are very reasonably priced and the other patrons have always been super friendly when we've gone there. We'd definitely recommend having your next party at Cowboys or going there next time you want to dance or listen to an excellent band. Cowboys Dance Hall was one of the most fun and memorable moments of our wedding weekend.

Im 19 and my husband is 21 so my. Im 19 and my husband is 21 so my husband can drink, i can dance in the same place. The music is good and apparently the alcohol is too!

Great dance floor, very large and roomy. Club is non-smoking, a big pluss. Only compt was the kids on the dance floor with drinks that they sloshed all over the floor. This was Memorial Day weekend so I chalked it up to school term blow out.

Constant customer - now total shock. I'm sorry.... I used to love this place... until the day of veterans day where I wanted to celebrate there out of all places. I couldn't dance with my partner without the bouncers taking our FULL drinks and tossing them in the trash, it happened 3 times that night, and when my back was turned, an individual was looking at the bouncers moving in on my beer and tossed it away. When I addressed politely to a bouncer instead of the manager to keep it low key, he smerked at me as if I was crazy and stated it was new bouncers... another mishap was when my bf wanted to request one song as an anniversary present, the dj turned him away, my bf asked again if he can play this song, the dj said looking at his equipment "I don't know"...If I shall ever return, the manager will be notified.

I dont like it one bit. The vibe i get from there seems so Ghetto and dirty i dont like the people who go there either nothing but little kids. Dont waste your time..

The kind of place a real cowboy would feel at home. I'm a new resident of San Antonio and I not only moved here for the great weather and people, but to dance and hang out with folks like me - love country music, rodeoing and dancing. Well, it only took one visit to Cowboys Dancehall to make me realize this place has it all. The music was great, rodeoing amazing and Cowboys made me feel right at home. Not only did I meet new friends, but I was a non-smoker in a smoker's bar, but wasn't affected by the smoke at all. The building is remarkable. If you're thinking of hitting the town for a night of fun, there's really only one place to go: Cowboys Dancehall.

FUN!. I love this place but it is so frickin' DARK! Turn on some lights so I can see those fine Cowboys! I hate how dark it is!
