I hadn't been in about four months but the food taste just as good as the last time I was there, wish I could say the same about their employees. Let's just say their not morning people, but their coffee kind of makes up for it.
SIP. Very nice place. I fell in love with Sip when I first walked in before a show sometime in November 2007. The sweet aroma of coffee beans! The employees were great and the service was fast. I actually conversated with two of the employees so long I was a little late to the show. That coffee girl served me the best mocha I've ever had, along with pretty eyes and a great smile. I recently visited Sip and it was completely different from the last time there. The service is really slow. Average wait 15-20 for a panini. Don't be surprized to wait 30. Manager was very rude. I think they had a 13 year old running the place. Their panini's were almost as good as I remember, but thats all I can say.
best espresso in san antonio.
Coffee shops are popping up all over the place but this one remains a favorite of mine. The baristas take such pride in hand crafting your drink. It is so much better than those chains that are on every street corner. Freshly prepared panini right off the grill remind me so much of Italy. I like to have a late lunch here after the crowds have died down and gone back to their offices. Noontime gets really hectic with all of the "suits" in ahurry to get back to their desks. Late in the day you catch alot of the politico powertypes having powows in the back corner! Prices are so reasonable too. I've been going here for over two years and I do not ever recall them raising their prices - very rare in a touristy area of downtown San Antonio!
Try their salads- their chef salad is really good & it is made to order. Their tuna with grapes and nuts is great if you don't have time to wait for a hot panini.
Great spot for lunch!. My co-workers and I eat here for lunch several times a week. This is a new spot for us to go... for fine dining resaurant servers to think it's great... it must have something going for them :)
a little taste of italy. Delicious panini and very reasonably priced. Great spot for a light breakfast - their coffee and espresso is awesome!
Espresso. Great espresso. They use great beans...straight from Italy and know how to do it right...traditional espresso drinks...not like Starbucks
