In Short – The hotel has 265 one-bedroom suites in a 12-story tower perched above the Riverwalk. It is the town's premier spot for upscale travelers seeking trendy accommodations with a taste of the traditional. The ground level features a massive water wall and views of the river. Rooms are spacious, with a separate bedroom, sofa, cocktail table and two TVs. There is an on-site restaurant and lounge, rooftop spa, workout room, and swimming pool with hot tub. –
A Place to Relax

I think the Hotel Contesa has a unique style the staff was very frinedly, the hotel is very clean and the food in the restaurant is great a bit high in price but good. It was my first time in San Antonio I enjoy the riverwalk even if it was raining at times. We had the luxury suite with the view to the down town area it was nice to see it at night and it was great to see the day light in the morning. The bed was so comfortable, the only thing we had a problem with was the light switch and the remote control but we call the front desk and they send someone and the problems was solve in no time he was very pleasant and helpful, one thing was disturbing was that the valet parking person did not ask us to unload the suite cases we park in the front area parking because we were not ready to check in at the time, also the parking price is to high $25 a day.
I do want to thank my friend because of her I was there is a very memorable weekend the 4th July weekend
I will be coming back in the near future. Thank you to all the staff.
- Pros: Location is great
- Cons: Parking prices to high
Comfortable Stay

As we drove into entrance we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff. Even I had to wait a little longer than I thought I should the staff was attentive when it was my turn. The Bellman waited patiently with our bags and delivered them to our room while we left to walk on the Riverwalk and to eat dinner. The Bellman took care of our daughter?s stuffed animal and made sure to her that he would. I read the unfortunate episode about the theft, that can happen anywhere and all should take care of valuables. It did heighten our awareness but we had no problems. I ended up getting the flu in the middle of the trip and their beds are comfortable to be in all day!
- Pros: Easy access to Riverwalk
- Cons: If there is an event the main restaurant shuts down
Interesting Stay

I travel frequently around the country and Europe and found Hotel Contessa very mediocre. The hotel itself looked nice but service was slow. The most disappointing part of the stay at Contessa was the theft of several articles. I am sure this doesn't reflect on everyone there but it will prevent me from staying there again or recommending the hotel as this has never happened to me before at any hotel.
