Color Professionals....they know color!. Where do I start... I was fortunate enough that the receptionist that answered the phone that morning told me that Yvonne could see me. I called because I had a horrible experience with a stylist that colored/highlighted my hair on Saturday. No need to go into all of that. The important thing is that Yvonne effortlessly brought my hair back to its natural tone and color, and made it look better than it has in a long time! I felt so comfortable from the moment I walked into the salon. I had a great time and cannot wait for my next appointment.. I received quite a few compliments at the office this week and am so happy knowing that I don't have to worry about finding a great stylist anymore. I really can't rave enough!…

Best "Ombre" Highlights by Patricia. Greetings. Let me begin by saying "WOW!" I can't begin to tell you how much I love my Ombre highlights by Patricia. Before I booked my appointment, I knew that I wanted Ombre highlights, but had read the horror stories about hairstylist who say they know how to create this style and they come out looking a hot mess. Well, after careful research, I found Hair Studio Sonterra. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was very friendly and offered me something to drink and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable. Patricia was, needless to say, AWESOME. For those of you who are thinking about getting Ombre highlights, it's a very long process, especially if you have long, thick hair like myself. Anyhow, she was very patient with me throughout the whole process. Bonus... they even sent me home with a free candle! Thanks again! You definitely have a life-long customer.

My color and cut are perfect... Thank you. Today I went in for a hair cut and I was THINKING about coloring it. I have never had my hair colored before so I was very nervous. I spoke with Mary about it and she was amazing, we talked about whether I should color my hair completely or just do highlights. She brought out all of the colors that she thought would look good on me. We finally decided and then we moved onto the cut. I explained to her what I was looking for and she did exactly that. It took her about 2 hours, because I have so much hair, but she was extremely nice the WHOLE time! When it was all done I had highlights for the first time and nice layered hair cut. I LOVE it! This was the first time that I sat in a stylist's chair and smiled the whole time! I can't wait to see her again!…

Not impressed. I've been to this salon before and was happy with the service I received from Lauren. This time, I was very dissatisfied with the service I received from Melissa. I called to set up an appointment with Lauren but was offered one with Melissa, whom I hav read positive reviews of, so I took it. I came in for color and a simple cut. Melissa sat with me and asked what I was looking for then said very little after that. I pretty much sat quietly in my chair the entir time. However, she was nice enough to offer me the weekday special that I asked about when I called even though she never really offers it because she's a master stylist. The "deal" was only $20 off what she normally charges.

After a very dull and rather boring experience, I came out with a color that was just fine. The cut was shorter than I wanted, and the way she styled it was horrible. Literally, I was embarrassed to walk out of there. Melissa told me not to wash it for two days but I had no choice but to wash it as soon as I got home and re-style it myself. I felt like it was such a waste of $200. I thought I found a trust-worthy salon but now i am too nervous to ever go back. :(

Update: I must acknowledge how nice the salon was in acknowledging my dissatisfaction upon reading my review. I think they handled this situation with respect and integrity. It made me believe they deserve another chance.…
