Great Movers

We just moved into our new place yesterday and hired Move for Cheap to handle the move. Nick and Jason were extremely courteous, efficient, and careful with my belongings. In addition, they worked really well with my pets and treated them with respect. They provided blankets, wrapped my furniture for protection, and tied down my belongings so they wouldn't break. The only negative is that the moving truck was a little ragged. It's front headlight was broken out and the floor of the truck was breaking in some places but it wasn't enough of a problem to worry about. It performed well for our short city move. I highly recommend this company.

The guys were on time, very nice, and HARD workers. They wrapped everything in plastic with moving blankets. One of the guys even moved a love seat down 3 flights of stairs alone.

There was nothing broken, scratched, harmed or missing.

They were very easy to work with.

Good moving companies are hard to find.....

Let me first start off by saying that i have used quite a few moving companies in the past, and every time there was always a hitch which turned my move into a nightmare. Whether it was rude movers which looked like they were fresh out of prison (or the crackhouse), items missing, items broken, not being able to communicate because both movers do not speak hardly any english, the company showing up late, or one not showing up at all. Keep in mind that they all promise you everything, and sound like the best over the phone. I originally wanted them to move me out of town and do the whole move, but when i called the manager convinced me that it would be cheaper if i was to rent a uhaul (one way) and have them load it and refer me to another company in my new city to have them unload it..well in summary this right here saved me at least 700 dollars!!!! Now i had already heard good things about them and would have paid them the full amount to perform the whole move (1500 dollars), and by telling me this they lost out on that $700.00. (and this is the reason i am writing this review). This is only the beginning. I ended up renting a uhaul one way, and scheduled for them to load it for me. They called me the day before to confirm our appt. and showed up about 10 minutes early the next day and brought one of their moving trucks out there for the use of the tools and dollies they said. They disassembled all of my furniture in a 3br house and loaded my truck within 3 hours and i paid $210 dollars. The movers were uniformed, clean cut, intelligent, and had me wondering why they chose this line of work. To make a longer story shorter, nothing was damaged or stolen, and even the company they referred me to was great. I just wish they had a location in my current city so that i could use them for my next move. Because of their recommendation i paid 800 dollars total for a move which would have easily cost me 1500 dollars (San Antonio to Amarillo, Tx), and i did nothing except pack and unpack my boxes. I would definetly recommend this company to everybody.

The gentlemen that moved me were pleasant young men, with a great work ethic. They showed up ahead of schedule and never stopped working, which was great because I went with their cheap hourly rate. I would recommend Move For Cheap. My daughter is buying her first house and we plan on using them again in the future.
