Tips for Sultan Cafe & Grill

ugh sorry, no can do for me... there were a group of kiddos literally who were sitting behind me that were smoking and were NOT of legal age, they were too busy laughing about nobody checking their ID. hookah is fine and food is barely ok, a handful of dudes working there needing a drug check!

Filthy. This place is disgusting. I had a meal there and halfway through found a cockroach in my shwarma. When I notified the management they offered to bring me another plate!

Of course I left, after taking a photo. I reported the issue with the photo to the health department. Don't expect this nasty place to be open for long. Try Shisha Cafe right down the road. Good food and MUCH CLEANER.

Great Place in General. As far as hookahs go, the prices are reasonable. They offer a frequent smoker card (after 5 you get a free refil and after 10 you get a free hookah). they also offer a discount card that you buy for 15 dollars and it has 70 dollars worth of saving (16 coupons) mixed with hookahs and food. the hookahs taste really good because they always sell their hookahs at a used price for like 50 or 55 bucks and always bringing in new ones every two months. they literally have like 50 some flavors.

the food is really good. I only wish they had a bigger menu. They have an amazing calzone, a really good shawrma, and a really good hamburger. they also offer a frequent combo card, so after you eat 9 combos, your 10th is free. the combos come out to like 7 dollars.

seating is really spread out, they have a wide variety of seating from floor seating, lounge chairs and arab style seating. they have a large backyard, and a brand new patio and heaters that they just finished. so when its cold outside and raining they can accomodate more people than any other hookah lounge in san antonio.

the music is customer based, they play more hip hop than anything but if a customer wants country or arabic or rap or oldies, just request it and they will play it...its a wide variety of music. 4 flat screen tvs with sports games on all the time. a private room with surround sound that you can watch movies. great for groups that want to study or just have their privacy.

the staff is always friendly, It takes coming in the second time and you will know everyone...I feel like home at sultans. I have tried the other places, but you probably know that i prefer it over the other places. Its a great place to hang out and study.

The owners are always here and if you have any problems, they will make sure your experience is fixed. the second time I came in, I my order got mixed up with my friend (the waiter was new) and we asked them to remake it. haitham remade the order and gave it to us for free. I thought that was cool. we would have paid for it, but that was really cool.

thanks to all the sultan guys for taking great care of us and keep up the amazing work. I love this place.

Sour Food !?!. This place is pretty bad. I went to eat here and most of the food was terrible. The hummus actually tasted like sour milk. The shwarmas also had a sour taste. The curly fries were the only thing that wasn't bad.

The worst part was the hookah tobacco tasted stale like it had been sitting open for a long time. I suppose this is fine if you don't really fancy hookahs.

grape watermelon. this place has the best hookah i've ever smoked. their food is vastly underrated, i'd recommend you try the spicy chicken sandwich (sheeshtwak). they also got 3 flat screens in HD for the sports fans. they have a huge backyard as well. people there are awesome, all the regulars have become friends. its a 2nd home, i love it there.

Good place to chill. Sultan's is a great place to chill and smoke some hookah. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is good. The flavors range from exotic to sweet, they probably have every flavor imaginable. Prices are reasonable. And the owners are cool guys, real down to earth. I guarantee you if you go, it won't be your last time visiting the place.

Wow. You just dont know what a good Hookah is unless you have tried a house special from Sultans. I have tried every Hookah place in San Antonio, Houston and Austin areas and some in Dallas and I know a quality hookah when i see it. I love the owners and its great that they love the customers. The best time to go is on weekdays, its really chill and I take my laptop and study while puffing on the hookah.

The food is also incredible. I have tried other places with the same quality, but I cant complain about the price. Everyday is a different day at sultans.

Food Is great and shisha flavor is amazing.. This place is a great chill spot after a club or whenever. they got 2 flat panels and black lights in some areas so its mainly for teenagers. no alcohol, so i wouldnt recommend a guys night out after work or something. other than that, owners are nice and take care of you except this guy jamel: he always looks mad and he takes forever to get your order out. Its about 10 bucks for a hookah and 7-10 bucks for a good meal there, so price wise its not that bad.
