You all need to chill out. Perhaps if any of the culinary critics bothered to make an attempt to patronize more than twice a year, I would listen to what they had to say much more believe they had any idea as to what qualifies as an authentic Irish Pub experience.... or (wait for it) DIDN'T COME FROM SOME OTHER STATE WITH THEIR ATTITUDE, maybe they would get past their egotistical, 'it's all about me and what I want right now' attitude. Have you been to the majority of the places on the Riverwalk? No, than stfu and quit bitching about service or 'cleanliness'. You're in one of the busiest tourist attractions in the world. If you order a beer and it's stale, maybe you need to consider that the beer you choose is probably a horrible one and NO ONE drinks it except for the douchebag that is you. Have a margarita and be thankful you can afford to go anywhere these days. twits.
NOT an Irish Pub, Not by any Stretch. I've had the displeasure of patronizing this establishment on two occasions about a year apart from each other. The latest visit came last night and lasted about 15 minutes as my wife and I stopped in for a couple of pints and stood at the half empty bar, ignored by three bartender/greeters/waiters who never once looked our way or asked if we would like something. My first visit came about a year ago when I stopped in with my wife and in laws. In over an hour, we were served three sodas, one pint and a cold bowl of spinach dip. This place is honestly the sorriest excuse for an "Irish Pub" I have ever been to or seen in my life. They shouldn't even be allowed to use the good Irish name lest anyone expecting warmth and good service be mislead. Go ANYWHERE but here!
NO SERVICE - AT ALL!.
Our service ended the moment we were seated...literally. We watched waitstaff walk back and forth serving everyone else there except us. It was surreal to say the least.
I'm sure the food would have been wonderful but since they don't serve our kind (whatever that is) we will never know. All I can say is if you have children, are a mixed ethnicity family, or don't look like you shop at Nordstrom's don't even bother.
Wow, this has gone downhill fast. This used to be a fantastic place for lunch or a few drinks after work. Now the food is tasteless and greasy and the service has disappeared. Theres hard any staff at all! I miss the old Waxy's. :-(
Horrible themed Irish pub. Badly kept beer, forgetful service and damned atrocious food rank this as among the worst of the Riverwalk. I had a hair in my burger, which was burned, and the Guinness tasted stale. The A/C didn't seem to be working there and it was hot as hell inside, and also smoky. The waitress was really rude and unhelpful.
