Half bulbs in salon are burned out or close to it!!!. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I've visited salon several times, & although price increased from 9 - 15 - 20$ for one tan--- they didn't spend the money on new bulbs!!!
LONG TIME CUSTOMER. I am a long time member of the Tanfastic Tanning chain of salons. I have refered all my friends and family to their different locations and I myself have visited several of their locations. These stores are kept clean and tidy. The staff is well versed in the use of all of their beds and lotions. I, and every one I know, have always been treated well and are always well taken care of. When I first tried the spray-on, I'll admit I didn't really know how to use it and it came out horrible. I was reluctant to try again and was able to use my remaining balance towards other products and services they provide. I did not accuse or blame the salon for my inexperience in proper use of their product. I did not become irrate or make any demands. The staff was able to accommodate me satisfactorily. I understand people's frustrations when things do not turn out the way they want, but if we all took a bit of responsibility for ourselves instead of placing blame right away, I am sure everything could be worked out. It is all a matter on how you approach people and present your situation. I will remain a loyal and faithful customer to a chain of salons that is locally owned and operated from San Antonio, Texas.
Don't go. I decided I would do a spray mystic tan from Tanfastic on Bandera and 1604. I went and was told the mystic tan had a broken part and to step closer to the sprays for best results. I did that and went home. I paid 50 bucks for buy 2 get 2 free. I only used 1 and it did not work. I did not get any color from this at all. I was going to go back a few days later to complain and get my money back. However, due to a busy week it didn't happen. When things calmed down for me I went there and asked for 25 dollars back and not the full 50 since it had been so long, and I didn't feel right to ask for the full 50. I was told they normally do not give refunds. I was NOT told this nor did I sign anything that said this. I was told they would contact the owner and get back to me. Hours later I get a call telling me that I couldn't get my money back!!!! I didn't use the 25 dollar spray and they STILL won't give me my money back! I asked to have the owners number and she would not give it to me. She said the best she could do was to give him a message. I wonder why he doesn't want phone calls? Could it be because they steal from their customers?????!!!! I will be waiting for his phone call and if I do not get a call from him in a day I will be taking further action. Their customer service is terrible and would strongly recommend going somewhere else! I also think now I will be asking for the full refund of 50 instead of the 25 just on principle alone! Horrible Customer Service, Irrational, Immature Manager. The beds at the Huebner Oaks location seem to be better than the 1604 location. They can't seem to keep help over here but it appears to be because of Natalie, the "acting manager" at this location. I had a problem and discussed it over the phone with Natalie and she was immature, rude and finally ended up hanging up on me. This location has the least friendly staff of all the stores, with the exception of a girl named Jenny. When I got no satisfaction from Natalie, I called the owner of Tanfastic, his name is Andy. I discussed the issue with Andy and he acts like he has no clue what is going on at his stores. I told him that the manager at this location was very unprofessional, immature and rude and he told me he was at dinner with his girlfriend. I told him I wouldn't keep him, I just wanted him to know the caliber of person running this store and he told me thanks for calling and letting him know. Very, very poor customer service from the staff and the owner. I will stop my automatic draft for this company and go across the street to Palm Beach Tan. This was very, very disappointing and I would not recommend this location especially to anyone.
buyer beware of spray tans!. I would like to tell others about my experience. I am a fan of the spray tans because I burn easily and don't do well in the tanning beds. I wanted to find the best deal for a MYSTIC tan and I was told by an employee at TANFASTIC the spray tan they had was 'just like mystic'...'they're all the same'. I trusted this person to be truthful instead of just wanting to take $40.00 from my bank account. I purchased what I thought was a good deal, buy two spray tans, get two free. Sweet deal right? NOT BY A LONG SHOT. I've been to a better tanning salon: PALM BEACH TAN who does carry the true MYSTIC tan. I had no problems whatsoever there...so I expected the same experience @ TANFASTIC. When I entered the room to get my spray tan, the booth was half the size of the mystic, the platform spins while you get sprayed. Well this didn't work well at all..unfortunately I didn't know until the next day how bad it really was. At PALM BEACH, they give you booties to cover your feet--NOT AT TANFASTIC. The sprays start off on your back and you spin slowly while still getting sprayed. This may sound like a great concept however the application was not even. I had half my legs in front dark, the other half light. My feet were an absolute mess, my arms where not evenl tanned either. It was a nightmare...not only did this experience cost my $40, but it cost me my weekend of wearing comfortable clothes. I couldn't go out without covering up from head to toe. When I visited the store, I did not see a sign or anything showing a 'no refund' policy so I called the manager of the store and informed her of my horrible experience. She offered a credit to use the beds...after I had just told her beds do not work for me--I wanted a true MYSTIC tan, not a generic spray tan. I told her I wanted a refund and she refused, stating the owner also REFUSES ANY REFUNDS. That's just poor business practices if you ask me. I would recommend PALM BEACH TAN for any/all tanning services.
