Not Your Every Day Cafe!!! This place is great!!!. I took my wife here in Sept '06 right after we visited Isabel's Day Spa (which is great too) in San Antonio. It was an anniversary weekend getaway and I wanted everything to be perfect! In short our experience here was GREAT! Some may visit and think I'm too easy to please, but I thought the inside was very elegant. I was honestly some what surprised because from the outside I saw the neon lit sign for "Cafe Europa" (quietly tucked away in a small strip mall in a nicer part of San Antonio) and judging the book by it's cover, I thought to myself "uh oh, she's gona hate it"...But once we walked in the place was very surprisingly elegant on the inside! The paintings were well themed and must have been expensive (note to self, must buy elegant European-style paintings for my walls at home - they're cool!). The walls and ceilings were nicely decorated and the candle lit tables were a nice touch as well. Our waitress was Bulgarian and her accent made us feel even more like we might actually be in Europe! Oh the food you ask? Well if salads were this good at McDonalds, I'd eat nothing but rabbit food every day! The entrees were excellent and VERY pleasing to they eye with decorative arrangements, and herbs I've never heard of (they may be sitting in my cubbard though) everything was just really great. They are even listed on a certain Restaurant, com so if you're budget sensitive like I am, go download a net $15 off coupon ($10 cost for a $25 off coupon)...as long as you order 2 entrees. I think we spent around $50 or so (might have been less) and that included Soup and Salad for both of us as well as our Entrees. I definitely would visit this place again but I live in Houston so it may be a while. Happy dining!
