Tips for Massage Heights

February 09, 2013

oh my goodness. seriously one of THE BEST massages I have EVER had. I had been having some reoccurring back pain and was about to get on a plane the day after I was supposed to go in for the massage appointment and I was so impressed. THe girl at the front desk was so nice and bubbly and made me feel so welcome. and the massage therapist did wonders. he worked out all the knots that had been building up from stress. Most definetly going to be going back for another massage.

Find Another Place. Usually a positive and optomistic person and tried to give this place a chance not once but twice. First time I paid for a 2 hour session and not realinzing it I was dressed and paying in the lobby 1hr and 40 minutes into it? I expressed my disappointment and they apologized, charged me for only 1 hour and said that if I came back I would get the intro cost..so I did call and reschedule a 2 hour appt which I was SO looking forward to and had scheduled my entire Saturday morning around....I show up and they apparently only booked me for an hour...... This may seem trivial but it was a HUGE disappointment to me... I told them I was sorry but I wouldn't be back..... when you go in for a relaxing experience and it turns into a stressful disappointment....its not worth anyone else going through it.

My therapist was falling asleep!!!!!. My session was laughable to say the least...she was yawning uncontrollably most of the session, but towards the end when sitting on the chair she was actually falling asleep! Completely ridiculous! When I told Melissa at the front she said "how is that even possible?" like she didn't believe me and asked my for my payment. I had already decided I was going back since it's so expensive after you've used your introductory sessions, but I had a gift certificate. Now, I'm making the most effort I ever have in making sure that others don't have to go through the same bad experience. Good job Massage Heights! What a joke.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!. Therapeutic massage I think not. I went to this location, and was very specific about what I wanted. When the massage was finished, and I told the front desk person Melissa how unhappy I was, she said "oh sorry, that will be $39.99", which showed me she didn't care how I felt, just that she wanted her money. Now being a therapist myself, I don't care what price you may be paying you deserve the best possible service I can give. I have tried to contact the owner, and neither will return my call, not even to say sorry for the crapy service. If you need a good massage, with great customer service DON'T GO THERE!!

When you ask for deep tissue you will get nothing close to it. If I could give this location less than 1/8 of a star that would still be better treatment for them than what they gave me.

Don't do it!!!. Approximately 12 months ago I purchased an annual plan for one massage a month at $49.95 per month. Don't do it! I did it as a gift for my wife and when it transferred to her she had several massages left and became sick. She explained to the manager her situation and she said the remaining massages could be used. However, when time came to cancel the plan from the past year, so I would not be billed for another year, they then would not honor those massages at theirs, or the other studios like they had originally promised. When my wife went to get a massage at Stone Oak the girl at Thousand Oaks would not approve it so we had to pay again, with 6 remaining massages left that already had been paid for in advance. I am sitting here with a charge from July and she was just at the Stone Oak location today, July 31. Just don't do it!
