Second time, not a charm.. I'd heard allot of hooplah about this place from various folks. Decided to try it one Tuesday. The line was all the way outside and didn't seem to be moving very fast. I watched from the car then decided to try it another time.



Today, I went with a friend who also raves about the Bar B Que. No line outside but about a ten person line inside. The set up is; people stand in line till they creep up to the food prep dudes. They take your order and are fairly quick about it. Then, they hand you your tray. There is NO tray rail like at Bill Millers or Lubys. You literally hold your tray in front of you at a complete stand still while you make your way up to the cash register. This is only about 6 feet from the preppers but it took us about 15 minutes to get up to it. We stood there, watching our food become cold.

The register guy (this day) was a kid about 19 who had NO concept of multi-tasking. He served my beverage (slowly), handed it to me in my one free hand, then put a receipt in front of me to sign. Keep in mind I have NO free hand! For as long as they've been open, how has this major groove killer gone unfixed?

When I finally found a seat in this cramped little dining room, I sampled my food. There is NOTHING special about it. Rather dry. Sauce ok. I was hoping to be WOWed! No such luck. Little pricey.

Good BBQ. Overall I like this place. The BBQ was very good, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful.

For some reason they didn't have any pinto beans ready when I was there for lunch. I was very disappointed at that but that won't keep me from going back.

The main seating area was a little cramped but not too bad.
