DO NOT GO TO HECTOR -Sales Manager. I am a loyal Hyundai owner. I went to trade my 04 Sonata last saturday. Should have known there was a problem when Hector told me he had to go help this lady and he would be right back that this lady was being a pain in the ass. wow. Okay. So, I told him I was upside down on the car and that I needed something with a large rebate, I was willing to put a $3000 down AND I had a co-signer if I needed it. He said he would have an answer Monday. Tuesday, he still had not called, so I called him, he said they were busy with inventory and he apologized for not calling. Okay. Wednesday, still no call. Thursday, no call, Friday, no call. So 5:30pm, I called him, he answered and told me he was with a customer and he'd call me back. 8:30pm, he had still not called me back. So, I called him while I was out PROM DRESS shopping with my daughter. He said to come in Saturday and we'd work out a deal. I showed up with everything he asked me to bring, paystubs, etc. at 10:30 am on Saturday and at 2:30pm he told me that there was nothing he could do because my income/bill ratio (or whatever) would only allow me to make a payment of $500 and with the negative equity, my payment would be around $580. I could go down to the Elantra and that the payment would be about $545. So, I move down from a $24,000 car to a 17,000 car and my payments would go down $40? That's dumb. I told him, I would rather just pay the $580. Needless to say, I left there without a car. I finally gave up after trying for a week. Sunday, I drove past Benson Honda on San Pedro and realized, I never even considered Honda. I called over and talked to the sales manager Craig and he guaranteed if I went over he would get me into a car, that day. 4 hours after sitting in Honda, I drove out with a Honda Accord, something Hyundai didn't do in one week. Hector did not care to get me into a car, didn't care to return phone calls, had no respect for me or my time and was rude and condescending to me. I love Hyundai but I would NOT recommend this sales department. Their service dept is great. Patrick, Gonzo, great guys. I called the manager to let him know about his sales manager and to be honest, he would be doing himself a favor by firing this guy. Loser.
