Excelent spa with great therapists. The Massages are great and the facials are awesome i would totally recommend anyone to switch their spa for this one. I was reading some of the other comments and its a shame that this company is getting a bad wrap from a previous business.

SCARY. My experience there was just awful and nothing like it was when the original owners had the business running. They are so unprofessional. they try to act nice but when you leave the room they speak terribly of there so called clients. They also run out of products and claim its on its way all the time. the products were never available when I needed my botox or products. The supposed Dr. is never there for his appointments and he is always acting clueless. His work is sloppy and he seems to not have too much education in my experience who really knows. Anyways it has been over a year now that I was treated there but that place has gone down way down. Be careful going there for anything. I think the people mean well but have a dark side.

Relaxing massage!. I have had several massages by Corina and all have been great! I typically only have time for a quick 30 minute massage, and it is hard to believe that Corina fits so much relaxation into such a short time frame. After spending almost 8 hours on a plane and in great need of a massage, I called Essence Skin and Body Spa and they were able to fit me in today. I came in for my usual 30 minute massage and left very relaxed. My favorite part is towards the end of the massage when Corina adds a "special treat" of using hot stones to finish out my swedish massage. Thanks Corina, I'll definitely be back soon!

Clarification of previous review. This review was written about a different spa with the same name. The spa referred to by this review was located in Spectrum Athletic Center and is currently closed. The Essence Skin & Body Spa located at 4503 DeZavala is in the Starlite Oaks shopping center and does not have a gym attached. We will never rush our procedures and our staff is caring and courteous. Please come in and enjoy true Essence.

non-spa like atmosphere, rushed service, total rip-off. There is nothing spa-like about this so-called "spa" located inside a noisy gym. The reception area is cluttered with jewelary display with obvious lack of proper seating to greet their customers. Neither the receptionist nor the esthetician who worked on me bothered to offer a drink of water before we started. Although the esthetician was friendly enough, she rushed through the procedure and was done in half the time she was supposed to spend. At the timeof payment, the receptionist did not seem concerned about my complaint of such a short amount of time spared for me. It was a complete rip-off since I was rushed out in half the time and still charged the full amount without any explanation. And ofcourse, I have yet to see the results of the procedure. Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Clinical-quality skincare, therapeutic procedures and luxury indulgences under one spa roof.. The Setting
Located in a Northwest Medical building, the top-floor spa has a surprisingly elegant feel. The overstuffed furniture, gilded touches, marble flooring, and subdued colors hark a Grecian era. Treatment rooms are spacious and soothingly dim in contrast to the public areas filled with panoramic windows.

The Services
Beyond pampering, this is serious skincare. Enjoy the benefits of the spa's partnership with a board-certified dermatologist and a plastic surgeon providing on-site consultations and the availability of prescription products. Physician-grade skincare lines include M.D. Forte, NeoStrata, glycolic activated Exuviance and the spa's own Essence Elite products. All the royal treatments--massage therapy, chemical peels, reflexology, mineral and seaweed wraps--are administered by experienced, friendly professionals. Salon services include hair coloring and styling, waxing, lash and brow tinting and full nail care. Stress-busting packages offer paraffin hand treatments, body polishing, massage, facial, makeup application and lunch.
