Tips for Motorcycle School

I am NOT satisfied with this school! If you are a good driver and you expect nothing from driving course you can go, but if you want to get some knowledge it is wrong place. I don't know about all, my instructor was unprofessional rude. It is a place where you just lose your money.

CATHY the CROOK. I'm a DoD contractor for the U.S. Military and when I had a legitimate reason for missing my class, I basically begged Cathy whatever the F*** her last name is to allow me to reschedule but she was not phazed by my situation! She directly told that she didn't care because she got her money!! I came up with several ways to retake the class without having to pay again but she rejected all ideas. All she wanted was more money! Completely rude on the phone and she should not be a business owner. What a B****!!!! Only reason I went there was because i was referred there from the Lackland AFB motorcycle training instructor which just happened to work there. I should have read these reviews prior to giving them my money!

THE WORST SCHOOL EVER. The Motorcycle School of San Antonio on Fredericksburg Rd is the worst school ever Cathy Bochat the owner /Instructor is a deceiver, fraudster , swindler, con artist , liar and very rude. Cathy Bochat should have her license suspended until they investigate how she is running her classes. I wish everyone who has had a bad experience with Cathy Bochat contact the Texas Department of Public Safety and complain. She will tell you all the good things about her school and how they will teach you everything you need to know about riding a motorcycle and will give you hands on information and help you if needed during the handbook class and the actual riding class. That’s a BIG FAT LIE she will tell you whatever you need to hear until she get your money. Cathy Bochat states she has 16 employees but during her class of riding time it’s one person for every 8 to 10 people and the class is only 15 to 18 people per class that’s split up into two groups, one for sport bikes and the other little 250cc Harley. Cathy Bochat don’t have time nor the patients to teach a new rider so when you go to her basic class you better have some riding experience if not she will fail you. Cathy Bochat will tell you as soon as her class starts that she is not here to hold your hand you need to watch a movie clip read several paragraphs out of the hand book and answer several questions in 15min. Cathy Bochat will tell you your teacher is yourself and your class mates. This is not what I or anyone else paid for but that’s what you get from The Motorcycle School of San Antonio.

this school get's a big fat 0

Best time I've had in years. I have always dreamed of riding a motorcycle and now my dream has come true! The teachers at The Motorcycle School are knowledgeable, patient, and very funny. I was so scared and they made me laugh and forget everything except what they wanted me to learn in that lesson. Each skill is taught from basic to advanced. We learned to handle the clutch and throttle with our feet on the ground, before we got to ride. Then as we began to get the riding part, they taught us many different skills so we would be the best of riders. After we graduated they told us to be sure and use our practice guides in a parking lot with our new motorcycles. Practice until we are comfortable on our new motorcycle before we take to the streets. I'm so excited! Thank you Motorcycle School!!

I will never give them my money again!!. I wish there was a 0 star rating. That's what I would give the San Antonio Motorcycle School...a zero!

I forked over almost $200 dollars for the course. The San Antonio Motorcycle School instructors were just like any other instructors for these courses (I took one about 8 years ago).

I had some questions about riding after I took the course with the Motorcycle School and Kathy and Regina wouldn't call me back or email me back. I finally talked to some kid that pointed me back to Regina who yelled at me on the phone and told me I wasn't welcome at either location of the San Antonio Motorcycle school again!!??!!

Wow....once they have your money....they're through with you. I talked to another school and they were incredibly helpful. Sent me to a website, pointed me to a couple of dealerships AND told me about a Bike Night they go to so that I can meet some other riders.

I would only recommend people that file frivolous lawsuits to this school. Maybe they'll shape up.

EXCELLENT Customer Service. Regina was helpful and informative while helping me sign up for the course. Our course material was accurate, helpful and complete. We had two excellent instructors Robert and Popeye, for our class of 8 students. The experience levels for the students ranged from some who had never ridden a motorcycle to one who had ten years of dirt riding experience. All eight of the bikes we rode were lined up and running, and waiting for us when we arrived at the riding range. They all performed flawlessly throughout the course. All of the students successfully passed the written test and the final riding evaluation, which was administered by both instructors as well as the owner of the school.

Liars, Rude, Insulting and con artists. The Motorcycle School San Antonio has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I've ever worked with!! The Motorcycle School San Antonio also LIE so that you sign up for their motorcycle operators courses (MSF, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Beginning Riders Course) so that when you try to cancel, they screw you out of $35!

The Motorcycle School San Antonio lied to me through an email to pressure me into giving them my money and signing up. Then when they actually told me the truth about the certification, offered to refund all of my money because of the "mix up." After a few days and not seeing anything posting to my account, I emailed a few times and finally called The Motorcycle School San Antonio. I spoke with the person that first offered the refund who acted like we never spoke. He then directed me to the owner, Kathy.

Kathy turned out to be bi-polar and self-righteous. She was very polite, just as the other rep had been...at first. She put me on hold after about 30 seconds because she had to file her taxes. Then instantly turned into Mr. Hyde! She was rude, told me that I wasted her time with countless emails and hours on the phone with her and her staff (up to this point, I was approaching ten minutes in talk time with The Motorcycle School San Antonio over the course of a week through two phone calls with the rep). She told me that she would refund all of my money and to do more research before calling The Motorcycle School San Antonio. Even then, she doesn't want my money and told me to never contact them again. Then hung up on me before I could speak.

After being completely confused, I emailed her to make sure she was refunding all of my money and said there might have been a mix up.

These are quotes from her email "Please do NOT contact us again , as you are not welcome to attend training at our site.... We apologize for paying to maintain a website for you to access and a phone system for you to use...This is called = Integrity, I have it- you don't."

At one part it seemed like she bragged about paying commission (ie. my $35 fee) to the person that lied to me.

This is the type of treatment that The Motorcycle School San Antonio offers to the public. They just want your money and could care less whether you learn. I spoke to some former students who called to complain about something minor or ask a couple of questions that were met with the same type of hostility. Read the two bad reviews.

There are other schools that are MUCH nicer and MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE and actually know what they are talking about. I needed this course for a ticket. She claimed that it was up to the judge to determine which courses qualified, when it is actually up to Texas Education Agency and TxDOT. The staff at The Motorcycle School San Antonio and her had no clue what qualified for ticket dismissal. EVERY other school I talked to, knew the hours required and which courses did and did not qualify. It seems like this school does not do the training and ongoing education that's involved with their TEA licensing. Again, see the other review.

There are cheaper and MUCH NICER schools. One school had all their calls forwarded to the owner's cell phone and he answered no matter what. At one point, he said, "I'm driving, hold on while I pull over." To me, that shows class, responsibility and true customer service. He was busy driving, but stopped what he was doing to answer questions. AND they were less expensive!!!
