What a terrible experience! I called and ordered delivery. An hour later I had no food and had not heard a word from anyone. I called the store to inquire about my order and was told they were very busy and he had been quoting people with an hour and a half wait. (I obviously wasn’t given this quote when I originally ordered.) I was told the food was with the driver who had several other orders and had left 20 minutes ago. I said “so my food is going to be cold?” Response “your food is not going to be cold!” CLICK. That’s correct, I was hung up on. Completely unprofessional. I called back to request the manager who sounded VERY similar to the person who had hung up on me. He apologized and said I must be mistaken that no one would do that. As I tried to explain my side of the story and my concern he interrupted every single sentence. I wish I was exaggerating. I finally said “Do you mind if I finish?!” Well, from that point forward he was done listening. His standard response was “I’m sorry you feel that way.” I must have missed that part of management classes where the customer isn’t important. I asked for the day time manager’s name and he said he was that person. I asked for the owners name because it’s a franchise and got nothing. I finally gave up and hung up. Save yourself the hassle and find someplace else.
Poor Tasting Food. I ordered a few dinner plates for my family and tried Wok on Wheels. Was very disappointed in the taste (it tasted like the meals were cooked on soapy pans with a detergent taste) and called restaurant to complain. They were friendly on the phone and said OK to my request for new plates to be re-sent out. But these had same cleaner taste.
Keep Looking. I ordered from Wok on Wheels and I didn't throw the food away but I have had MUCH MUCH better (Lees Kitchen). You don't get much food compared to most Chinese places. Not really worth the money.
Are you kidding me?!!!.
OK, so I am in a hotel working for a week in San Antonio. I called the Wok on Wheels to place an order and could not believe what was delivered.
This has got to be the worst meal ever sold in TEXAS! I said sold, because it could not be consumed.
I ordered Kung Pao Beef with steamed rice and another order of chicken wings.
The Beef was overcooked and tasted rancid. The steamed rice was hard and could not be chewed. It found the bottom of the trash can as soon as I tasted it.
The Chicken wings were not only over cooked, they were incinerated to a point they had no meat. I was snapping them in half like match sticks. These also were thrown in the trash.
I guess I will walk to wendy's and spend 5 or 6 bucks for some fast food and try to forget The Wok on Wheels!
I hope the rest of San Antonio has better restrauns than this.......
Wok On Wheels: Great food for the price.
I have no idea what people are complaining about. Every single restaurant in the world, sometimes orders are mixed up. Yet, nobody talks about when they get good service so I will start:
I used to work at Rackspace from 07 to 08 and not once did they have a problem w/my order. I love their Chicken and Brocolli and the drivers are always cool. Some people need to lighten up, things happen and everybody deserves a second chance.
Worst Experience Ever. Placed a delivery order, after waiting over an hour when the order finally arrived. It was not what I ordered. I was charged $18.15 for one meal. I called the store to have them correct the order and the said I had to bring the food back. I told them I wanted them to replace the order since they are the ones who messed it up. Or give me a refund. They said that could not give me a refund. The owner refused to call me back. The manager was very rude. They will just rip you off and take ur money. Learn from me...... Dont Order From Them!!!!
Wok On Wheels is slow as dirt!. I called in to place an order at 2pm...waited, waited, waited. At 3:30 I called in and cancelled my order. Staff made it seem as it was common practice. I will never order from this place again. I previously had ordered from there before and they did not give me any egg rolls as advertised as part of the meal. I do not recommend this place at all.
Chinese, Northwest, Medical Center Area. I tried both the Sweet & Sour Chicken and the General Tso's Chicken. Neither dish was bad, but neither dish was good either. The egg roll was slightly better. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but it's not the worst I've had.
