As a former server, you have to do something really not good to get a bad review from me. But before we get to that, let's talk food. Everything we ate was wonderful. Lots of different flavors, and unique dishes. But definitely stick with wine... the cocktails were not so good. Our server on the other hand... eek. We asked for the tableside guacamole and he huffed and puffed and said "can I just make it for you in the back?" He alluded to the fact that he was tired. Then he was really slow and lacking personality. May have been having a bad day... and I hope that's the case. But I haven't been back since... that kind of service leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Pros: Tasty Tapas an wine

Cons: bad cocktails and service

Wonderful restaurant. We just ate there for the first time on Saturday night. We were very impressed by the service, food, and ambiance. We ordered a few tapas ( little bite size appetizers), the crab napoleon salad ( with fresh avocado and mango) , and for the main course we had the beef tenderloin and the Mahi Mahi. It was so unique and delicious. We recommend that you go all out at this restaurant, it is well worth it to try the tapas and the entrées. The stone oak area has many great restaurants, but we have to say that this one is the most unique, intimate, and delectable. Cafe Paladar is a hidden gem.
